I'm more pissed at Microsoft for their impotence in this situation. First letting E.A pick up Bioware without putting up a fight and then idly standing by as one of their biggest draws, Mass Effect, goes multi-platform, definitely stealing some of their thunder. Do they really think Halo and Gears are going to carry them without an exclusive RPG contract with somebody... anybody? WTF is Microsoft thinking? They had better have one hell of a comeback for this or go the way of the Dreamcast (which I loved too).

Gears and Halo are done after they release these last games the xbox literaly has nothing now and everything that is multiplatform get exclusive content on the ps3. Red Dead Redemption got a extra outfit and a extra gang hideout, Mafia 2 gets an exclusive mode, Medal of honor is getting something idk what. Valve told us that the ps3 version of portal 2 wil be the superior version (out of the consles anyway) those are some examples

also microsoft did respond to this... they are trying to cripple the expirience for the ps3 players by keeping ME1 exclusive to the 360(yes we know its on PC too) but m sure EA and Bioware will figure their way around it

if this keeps up i see no point i keeping my 360.. when i can just buy all of the same stuff and more on my ps3
and if i do buy my stuff on 360 imma feel cheated because the ps3 version will have more content(minor or not) than the 360 version. thats my main complaint about this whole situation
and i really hope is not the case with mass effect 2 or mass effect 3

sorry I cant see a connection to how any game can compare to that, and trust me I know the feeling, my fiancee had some piece of crap **** living with and sleeping with her not 3 weeks after I got on the plane to go to boot camp at Ft Leonardwood. So yeah again not seeing the similarity. But that's like the 3rd or 4th time you have said that in this thread alone so good luck with that.

again not seeing it, Mass Effect is BioWare & EA's now so it's not really yours or mine now is it? So I really dont see how a game developer who owns the rights to their IP, betrayed you. I mean it's not as though you're in a committed relationship with a game, or are you????? lol

it validated the  360 and my choice of a 360, it was mine when ever the sony torls would give  me  **** a 360 owner could say "yeah well we got mass effect"

however...EA was the publisher for pc version
if EA can publish ME1 for pc, then ps3 is also a possibility

They paved their own way by making a kick ass game, so lets not take credit for that which we have not done.

the ugly truth rears its true face, most of the posts in this topic show that weren't fan of mass effect, just fans of the console it was on. at least i'm glad that this is still a minority and the rest of the comunity are happy now that all platforms will be able to enjoy this series.

about me1 though, i'll give it a few more months before the ps3 announcement as well.

Because they would have to complete basically 2 different games, one for ps 3 where there is no me 1 choices to worry about, and one for 360/pc where the me 1 choices alter the game greatly. I dont think bioware will go through the effort to do that, which means me 1 choices will do fuk all, which means ill be boycotting mass effect.

a new splinter cell for the ps3 is already on the making, it's not conviction though from what i've heard and read.

This silly "us vs them" mentality is rather puzzling. If you are mad, direct your hate towards Microsoft, that made the wrong business decisions by not securing first party studios. Sony is on the other hand increasing it's first party lineup, and all 3rd party will inevitably go multiplat... and that's not "greed", it's business!! They are in this to make money, and the more money they make the more ambitious the projects will get, which might have its downsides but also can bring really good things for the players (amazing voice acting is very expensive, for example).



PS3 players who buy ME2 will most likely not buy another console to play ME1, one game hardly warrants a console purchase 5 years into its lifecycle. But instead of thinking of this as console wars... be happy the title will be expanded
