The biggest and really only problem anyone should have with this, is will bioware now completely scrap the me 1 choices in me 3?

Because they would have to complete basically 2 different games, one for ps 3 where there is no me 1 choices to worry about, and one for 360/pc where the me 1 choices alter the game greatly. I dont think bioware will go through the effort to do that, which means me 1 choices will do fuk all, which means ill be boycotting mass effect.

Why would they? The choices for PS3 players for ME1 would be made for them by the game...so the ME2 save game will have that info, plus their choices from ME2.

Just puting it out there, there is a rumor they are taking Left 4 Dead also.
I blame both EA and Microsoft, EA for being greedy and Microsoft for being so stupid as to not actually buy their best titles. Did you know they also dont own Alan Wake, Splinter Cell, and Gears of War. You Know what it does own... Kinectimals!

c'mon, everyone loves skittles!

Well we knew this was gonna happen from the moment Bio went EA. Exclusivity is not an option! And LOL at the nerdrage in the thread, come on people, if you love the game you should be happy it will get more sales!

thats not the way it works

this is like finding out your girlfreind is cheating on you with the biggest jackass you know

Mass Effect was never an Xbox 360 exclusive... so by your analogy, you were sharing your gf already, so it's just that you don't like her new friend.

PC dosent count,

it will never count

you just got yourself into a world of hurt my friend, wouldn't want to be in your shoes right now.

haha yeah you just keep telling yourself that PC doesnt count, I can only assume what platform you apparently would take a bullet for.

yes, i'm pretty sure it would.
multiplatform allows for a larger fanbse, provided that the ports are equal.

Yeah... but Sony was smart enough to buy Naughty Dog (and Media Molecule, etc) to secure that talent... Microsoft didn't do that for Bioware

It's funny that everyone's getting angry over the fact that they're getting ME2, the same game that got all the hatred for being worse than ME1...

Gears and Halo are done after they release these last games the xbox literaly has nothing now and everything that is multiplatform get exclusive content on the ps3. Red Dead Redemption got a extra outfit and a extra gang hideout, Mafia 2 gets an exclusive mode, Medal of honor is getting something idk what. Valve told us that the ps3 version of portal 2 wil be the superior version (out of the consles anyway) those are some examples

also microsoft did respond to this... they are trying to cripple the expirience for the ps3 players by keeping ME1 exclusive to the 360(yes we know its on PC too) but m sure EA and Bioware will figure their way around it

if this keeps up i see no point i keeping my 360.. when i can just buy all of the same stuff and more on my ps3
and if i do buy my stuff on 360 imma feel cheated because the ps3 version will have more content(minor or not) than the 360 version. thats my main complaint about this whole situation
and i really hope is not the case with mass effect 2 or mass effect 3

Ugh, when will people get it? Halo is not finished after Halo: Reach, it's the last Bungie-produced Halo game, not the last Halo game.  And you say the 360 has nothing? It still has:

Alan Wake
Fable II
Fable III
Dead Rising 1
Mass Effect 1
Left 4 Dead
Left 4 Dead 2
XBLA
Kinect
the Crytek game they revealed at E3
Forza
Captain Blood
Crackdown
Crackdown 2
Ninety-Nine Nights
Ninety-Nine Nights II
Viva Pinata
Ace Combat 6
DeathSmiles

That's a hell of a lot more than nothing.

is halo really halo when the original developers arent even behind the game? no it ill be just like halo wars garbage

ps3 has move
psn get half if not almost the same things as xbla does
half the games mentioned are either old or not Triple A titles
BUT there are a few games on there that i cannot argue with..

Yeah, instead Bioware got bought by EA who will suck them to death for money... I'm not surprised by ME2 for PS3 as it maximizes revenue, and for ME1 on PS3 - I don't think that EA cares about the Bioware fanbase at all so we probably never see it...

Well, PS3 got an updated port of Ninja Gaiden 2 which was published by Microsoft, so there's still hope for ME1 on PS3.

As for Mass Effect 1 remaining exclusive to 360 and or PC, yes that is likely to be the case unless a purchase of the published software rights takes place in favor of anyone wishing to bring it to other platforms, however, there is nothing stopping BioWare or EA from creating a "Mass Effect 1" based off another medium or even re-creating a new Mass Effect to take it's place from scratch.

Kind of like the LOTR, Tolkien's retainers can make whatever game they please based off of the rights retained, New Line and WB retains the FILM rights, and can create games based on the FILMS produced. Microsoft owns the rights to Mass Effect 1's software, yes the disc or digital format of THE SOFTWARE THEY PUBLISHED, they do not retain the rights to the IP of Mass Effect that BW and EA retain. This means only MS can reproduce that SOFTWARE, so a port is out of the question unless as I said there is a purchase of rights to reproduce or redistribute that software.

Legendary bought the rights to produce a FILM based on the Mass Effect IP, the film can follow the exact paths that ME1 took throughout the game, and thus a new MEDIUM is created, EA and BW can create and publish a GAME based off the FILM. Or like I said earlier CREATE Mass Effect from scratch. I'm tired right now but I'm not full of **** either.

Its not sarcasm, but the first half is an exaggeration.

I would call it a "solid" game

But the campaign is mostly mediocre except for a few maps, it is more of a multiplayer suite.  But I doubt you'd find that many players on nowadays, and if you do well.  Then those would be some hardcore folk.

Still, at least its something. I was unsure about a rts game on a console.

I don't think a Macintosh version was ever released.  So it coming on PC was indeed a Microsoft platform (Windows).  There was an article on IGN.com

http://xbox360.ign.c.../1113521p1.html

Microsoft Representative claimed that it would remain Xbox exclusive

i honestly don't think it is as easy as that if MS would sue EA the money destroyed in the process wouldnt be worth the possible income also EA just doesnt care enough

With the wave of "remastered" titles soon to hit ps3 (Prince of Persia trilogy most recent leak), this could very well happen, and with the precedent of NGsigma it is rather possible. Also somewhere commented that EA had PC publishing rights, so it would be interesting to see how that works. Regardless, I doubt it will make too much of a difference for the majority of the new players. I played ME1 on 360 and don't really care about bringing that save over to play ME2 on ps3. In the end the choices you make are rather superficial.

I'm more pissed about Bioware's insistance in nonsensically locking my Dragon Age saves

As I posted somewhere above, Tecmo were able to port an updated Ninja Gaiden 2 (published by Microsoft) onto PS3, so make of it what you will.
