that's what they're going for.. just more sales. ps3 isn't the place to play mass effect if you're a huge fan. but if you're a huge fan you've probably been a huge fan since 07. additional sales means more money for them to make me3 awesome for us. mass effect as a series depends heavily on the niche of gamers it's made for, namely fans of bioware games, more specifically, us.

there's only so many members of the ADD generation they're going to be able to pull in. not to mention it's very likely it was not their decision to port it,  i'd guess that came from ea.  i doubt bioware's even porting it, it's probably ea people.

If you've only played Halo 3 you're not really a Halo fan till you've played the other two?

You can't truly be a fan of Final Fantasy until you've played ALL the FF games?

And for the part where PS3 users are A-holes....  Well it seems to me that they're not the ones on Bioware's official forum ripping into the developers for being "sellouts", crying about as of yet un-explained bonus content and calling newcomers to the franchise "outsiders" and "not true fans."

no their the ones trashign the X-box and acting so smug about this being a win for their big black blue ray player, not mention the fact  that befor they got their hands on it alolot ofd them said it sucked

I don't care about this, provided that:



a) There is no exclusive content for the PS3 version that I can't get for the 360.

It doesn't impact Bioware's decisions when determining what in-game choices impact ME3. I don't want ME1 decisions to be rendered near-irrelevant just because PS3 players never got to make them.



As far as console wars and fanboyism goes, I couldn't care less.

Incredible what fanboyism can do to people. You haven't seen some music fans arguing. Especially if its about what band/genre is or is not metal and such. Boy, are they scary at times.

Mass Effect is unstoppable right now. I know plenty of people are saying that they aren't going to buy Mass Effect 3... Alright, bull****. I don't agree with Bioware's decision to jump to the PS3 fanbase either but it doesn't make Mass Effect any less of a good game. Lol, I don't make speculations before receiving the final word from the higher ups. So either way I'll be getting Mass Effect 3.

you might want to read and do some homework before you throw out statements like that, it's already been said they've(BIOWARE) have been working on it for some time now, it's also been said that they(BIOWARE) have hired additional staff to assist with the port IN-HOUSE, meaning ported by Bioware. This is the most jacked up forum lol, I remember a long time ago some PC folks in an argument with 360 users that ME wouldnt have been anything if it werent for PC, even though it was ported to PC from 360, and 360 users flipped out and back and forth crap.

Now you have people going crazy about something they CHOOSE not to educate themselves about, there is plenty of info on the forums and on the net to give you some insight into the situation of ME2 going to PS3, but it seems alot of people would rather play ignorant than accept some FACTS just so they can continue ****ing and moaning and calling out people with other electronic devices.

lol what about people who got ME1 for 360 the day it was released, and or ME1 for PC(which is way better in my opinion), yet are no longer users of the 360 or dont have a PC good enough to display ME2 at its best?

hell alot of "fans" havent even read the novels for Mass Effect, and I'm sure the same goes for "fans" of Dragon Age.
but does not reading a novel make someone less of a fan? no. It just means they enjoy the games.

Lets think about the Microsoft exclusive they released ME1 on Microsoft Xbox360 then Bioware put some more love in the game adapted it better for the PC  EA  released it on Microsoft Windows

yea a couple of ps3 user wanted to expirience it but if it was that big of a deal for them they shouldve just bought it for pc or xbox

I wouldn't feel so bad about ME2 going to PS3 if PS3 owners hadn't bashed this game when it was first released. It feels like their stupidity is being rewarded. It's just wrong.



But as long as they get no exclusive in-game content and have to pay for their DLC like the rest of us, I'll make peace with the idea.

Well bioware did say the ps3 version will get all the dlc. Besides if you guys were true fans you would get all 3 versions:)

Umm I had a buddy who though ME was amazing when I was playing on my PC. Guess what hes a PS3 user. I also have a classmate again who wanted it for PS3 cause it looked amazing. 

Please stop lumping people together because of a system. People are people, and a console doesnt change that.

lol, this is what i did. Mass effect is the reason is started building my pc in the first place. (Note: Mass Effect is not the only game I play on my pc.) I only had a ps3 when it was announced. I felt sad that i couldn't play it.

For all of you so called hardcore bioware fans,who are you supporting Bioware and their great games or Microsoft.If you care for bioware and not microsoft then you should support bioware on their decision.
