I don't care about this, provided that:

a) There is no exclusive content for the PS3 version that I can't get for the 360.
It doesn't impact Bioware's decisions when determining what in-game choices impact ME3. I don't want ME1 decisions to be rendered near-irrelevant just because PS3 players never got to make them.

As far as console wars and fanboyism goes, I couldn't care less.

PC player here but my feelings exactly. More worried what this means to  ME1 characters than big decisions plot. I guess Wrex, Rachni and Council will be addressed . Most were just e-mails after all.

Im not suprised at this move from Bioware to be honest. I am a little disappointed as I reckon the very superficial ME1 choice carryover ( emails & the odd Npc in a convenient hub spot) was done like it is so as to make bringing ME to PS3 with ME2 as the first game less complicated.



So to me it seems that the game been ported has already had effects on the game and the overall story arc.



Im not against the game going to PS3 infact Im all for ME having a bigger audience but starting a the second game of a trilogy just aint the way to do it.

Incredible what fanboyism can do to people. You haven't seen some music fans arguing. Especially if its about what band/genre is or is not metal and such. Boy, are they scary at times.

All this complaining reminds me of Final Fantasy XIII going to Xbox 360 a good two years ago. Hell, I'm surprised we haven't had our own (parody?) version of this yet.

Umm I had a buddy who though ME was amazing when I was playing on my PC. Guess what hes a PS3 user. I also have a classmate again who wanted it for PS3 cause it looked amazing.

exactly, I'm a PC & PS3 user now, prior to that 360 & PC, prior to that xbox, ps2, PC, gamecube, prior to that lol PS1, N64, PC. I love Mass Effect. And I'm not the smartest man in the world but I'm not a complete idiot either so.....yeah the generalizing of people based on what platform they choose(which they have every right to choose).

That's..kind of a slap in the face. They get a release with all the DLC included on a platform that's never supported ME1 or ME2 to this point, and I get the pleasure of paying full price for all of it because I'm a 360/PC gamer.

I felt the same way when FF13 came to the 360.I felt angry and dissapointed but when I think about ff13 has sold 5 mil copies.ME2 only sold 1.6 and we all know ME2 is a hundred times better then ff13.Bioware might be also be able to make 5 mil if we support me2 on all platforms.I'm sorry for the comments I made earlier today.I felt I was even with ms for taking ff13 from ps3 but when i think about deeply i realize it was for the better.ff sold more copies then it ever did on the ps2.

microsoft let bungie get a way too. mass effect 2 ps3 is coming out in january thats like one year after. so its been a long time since i played mss effect. also it would be fun to compare the different versions. also bioware said that they were going to have uniqe interactive intro witht he ps3 version. it will be cool to see what that would be like. besides i didnt buy any dlc yet so i might as well wait for the ps3 version where i can get all the dlc.

I guess it just hasn't occured to some people that half of the Mass Effect fans on this forum that have been complaining about Mass Effect 2 going to PS3 are female. Calling females fanboys is a fail in itself. PS3 players will get all DLC free(come on we are getting the game a year late) and also interactive me1 intro(since we will not get me1 anytime soon).Support Bioware and help it grow and make more good games.

Sound cool. Hopefully they will include a feature so you can alter events for the start of the game. That way PS3 users could get more than just the "basic" story history. Hopefully that's something Bioware is considering with this version... considering the one obvious drawback for the platform.

Totally right.  I think I will just sit back and see where the rampant speculation goes.  Did you hear?  ME3 isn't going to star Shepard at all but a walking talking space cat named Mittens.
