PC users got Mass effect 1 several months later, and what did we got? Not a goddamned thing, no free DLC, no exclusive content, nothing (expect for the hotkeys replacing power wheel and better graphics, which is a caracteristic of the PC version also included on ME2, not exclusive content).
Why in name of god are PS3 user gettin extrastufft, when we, PC users didn't get something when ME 1 was released? That was the same situation, Why the favoritism?
Unless PC users (and 360 users, for that matter) get all the free content that PS3 is getting don't expect me to buy anything else bioware releases from now on.
That's why i'm Pissed off, i really don't care about ME 2 being ported, i just want all the versions to be equal.

besides you 360 only owners should have probably spread the word of mouth better so mass effect 2 didn't under perform in sales. If mass effect 2 sold as well as the 1st then bioware probably wouldn't be porting it.
I'm really suprised with the ME2 sales. Didn't even make it into the top ten for the year. Hopefully a lot of PS3 owners will pick it up, I think it deserves better sales.
ME1 has sold 2.26 million in three years. ME2 has sold 1.9 million in 7 months. And those are just 360 numbers. To say that it underperformed or is a failure is plain wrong.
if a game like halo can sell 10 million then mass effect deserves to sell at least 3-5 illion
There is no way you can compare sales of a FPS with a RPG. And if you add the PC sales into those figures then you are in the 3-5 million range.
well im just saying mass effect deserves maximum sales because it is a very good game. sure it won't reach halo level but it definately needs to sell the best as a wrpg

and let's face it, people who like this news or simply are smart enough to not care can sit back and join the entire Bioware offices in laughing at these lunatic fringes who somehow think a port (so unbelievbly common in video gaming that'd you'd think these sheep never owned a game before 2007) will magicly destroy the entire franchise some how
Or the raving lunatics who can't grasp concepts of "game of the year editions" despite once again being abundant for years offering the same exact deal the ps3 version has which wll be nearly a year old on it's release
But really in the end who cares? we got what we wanted and the rest of you don't mean a damn thing.

I agree, i would have bought the PC version of mass effect2, but i had already put too many play thrues on ME 1 on 360 to not finish, but i might get it anyways.Nyaa001 wrote...

At the time of the PC release there was already a DLC pack, and not the PC version didn't got it for free, but also arrived late.
That's why i ask, what the hell is wrong with bioware? Why favor PS3 version?
And i'm a PS3 owner, and if Bioware thinks that i'm going to buy ANOTHER copy just for the extra content they have some serious mental issues.

they put quite some work into the ME1 forthe Pc it was much more polished and on the Pc we didnt have to deal with crappy console controls just sayin

Remember that still unconfirmed DA: Ultimate Edition, that will most likely come with all DLC, same applies to PS3 most likely (except Overlord, maybe Kasumi, weapons packs, and Shadow Broker because they are plot relevant)

Like that intro level Bioware took out that had the player controlling Liara trying to rescue Shepard's body from the Shadow Broker. That way, PS3 users can in some way make their own story like the PC and 360 users in a much more condensed way.

ME1 is a first party game from MS
it is as likely to come to the PS as any Sony first party games are going to the xbox

Sadly that is unlikely due to MS being the first game's publisher, and that is my only concern with the PS3 versionHydrargyrus wrote...

Importation made the game unique and very fun
Still that is only a minor flaw that BioWare probably already knows how to rectify

you can find multiple interviews in which they deny ME 2 was being ported to the PS 3. I hate liars.
And i don't trust them.
However, my best friend owns a PS 3, i own a 360, neither of us can AFFORD to buy the other
console. He has had to listen to me talk about ME 1 and 2 for years now. I know he'd like the game,
we like the same stuff usually, thats why were friends..He never gets what i'm talking about.
Last night i was talking to him and realized he had no clue about the announcement, so i told him, dude
got so excited, the very first thing he said was.."now we can talk about this game and i'll finally
know what the hell your talking about". That put a smile on my face.
When it comes down to it, we are all gamers, we love the games we play. We hail them when they
are great and rip them to shreds when they fail. This whole console thing is ruining true gaming,
we are NOT just 360 players or PS 3 players, we are gamers dam it, one community. Its companies
like Sony and Microsoft that divide us up like cattle and pit us against eachother, and its gotten
old and tired.
Let me ask everyone a hypothetical question..
If a new company came along, and introduced a new multi console that let you play the combined
libraries of the PS 3 and Xbox 360, and lets say gave us access to Xbox live and the PSN..
How many of us would dump the PS 3 and 360 in favor of this new console? I would, my buddy
said he would, i bet most would.
So it really is easy to see its the console makers that divide us, not the games
or their developers.
We gamers need to team up with developers, and make it clear to these companies,
we won't be a part of their "console war" anymore..were done. Its getting to expensive
for most of us, and it has gotten out of hand. Times need to change to keep up with an
ailing world economy.
The days of people buying 2 different consoles for 2 different games that aren't available on the
opposite console are numbered. Every day that passes more and more people are finding
themselves without an income..days of luxury are coming to an end for a lot of people and
this includes double consoles. Its now a giant waste of money most can no longer afford.

Choices mattering, PS3, EA and Bioware, not having devs post on here that often, dlc things...and even before that. Cover art and thermal clips, everything that has been announced and brought out just seems to have this weight about it, that infers that ME3 will BLOW or won't BLOW.
I got my views and thoughts on things but it really doesn't matter. I don't think just one guy with a thought changes the minds of an employee at Bioware to make the game better (can't please everyone). I think as long Bioware get's straight and takes the time to make ME3 just as good as ME1 AND ME2 all together, I think this PS3 stuff and everything will all turn out okay.
Thoughts?
