Wow 80+ pages in 24hrs.

You should've seen the Epic Bioware Community Event topic where it was announced that only 48 of the United States could actually participate. Not Canada, not Mexico, not Europe, not Asia, hell, not even the whole US...just 48 States.

It got like 10,000 posts in 16 hours.

Hmph you are right, my bad.

Bring down didn't came in the CD, and i just assumed that i wasn't free, now i feel really stupid that i didn't played that DLC just because i though it was paid content.

Still can't compare:

Kasumi DLC
Overlord DLC
Equalizer, Aegis, firepower pack
Exclusive stuff
Most likely Shadow broker and probably all DLC released up to that point.

To a single DLC not even included on the disc, i think they are giving WAY to much stuff to the PS3, compare that to the extra stuff in Arkham asylum for example, not even close.

C'mon.  Microsoft has their share of deals with third party gamers.  On top of that, how different is this going to from the eventual GoTY edition released for 360 and PC?  First people in pay a premium.  That's how consumerism works.

Let me ask you a question though... What if Bioware were to make all the current DLC free in January to PC/360 owners? Then would it be fair?

correct me if I'm wrong but unless they distro through the cerb net, then it's MS/XB/XBL's call when dealing with the price correct?

I don't have time to read 80 pages but my only concern is this.

Are PS3 owners getting free content that I paid for? (weapon packs, Kasumi etc)

Are they getting "exclusive" content not available at all on XBox? If so, bad move. Or if it's available do Xbox owners have to pay for it?

Assuming they release a GOTY edition fo the game for 360 and PC, and assumin we get all the stuff PS3 will get (includin the "exclusive hours of extra content") on the disc (i don't want tickets, if you lose it or the download gets cancelled you are screwed), and they make a discount to the ones who bought the original ME 2 then we might have a deal.

However, my best friend owns a PS 3, i own a 360, neither of us can AFFORD to buy the other
console. He has had to listen to me talk about ME 1 and 2 for years now. I know he'd like the game,
we like the same stuff usually, thats why were friends..He never gets what i'm talking about.
Last night i was talking to him and realized he had no clue about the announcement, so i told him, dude
got so excited, the very first thing he said was.."now we can talk about this game and i'll finally
know what the hell your talking about".  That put a smile on my face.

Ermmmm, why don't you just lend you Xbox to your friend then? You may also borrow his PS3!
I do that all the time, my friend has a PSP and i really don't feel like spending money on that console, so i lend him my DS and i borrow his PSP.

I posted way back in the thread about my thoughts but I kinda don't care anymore. I don't really think all the arguing and stuff is not even about ME2 going to PS3, not just that one thing. I think it's everything else. It seems to me a lot of people see some things Bioware has done to ME to be bad for it in a sense. And some that are okay with, and I mean atleast they find a way around within themselves....

Choices mattering, PS3, EA and Bioware, not having devs post on here that often, dlc things...and even before that. Cover art and thermal clips, everything that has been announced and brought out just seems to have this weight about it, that infers that ME3 will BLOW or won't BLOW.

I got my views and thoughts on things but it really doesn't matter. I don't think just one guy with a thought changes the minds of an employee at Bioware to make the game better (can't please everyone). I think as long Bioware get's straight and takes the time to make ME3 just as good as ME1 AND ME2 all together, I think this PS3 stuff and everything will all turn out okay.

Thoughts?

My thoughts exactly. I want to see some solid improvement from Bioware, but it's the dreaded case of one step forward and two steps backward. They've really dug themselves a deeper hole with their recent streamlined direction of the franchise as well as (seemingly) disregarding their long time consumers in the name of more money (giving PS3 users exclusive content that the PC and 360 might not get?). There's nothing wrong with making money, but if you want to make even more money, you need to also cater to loyal customers every once in a while vs. venturing into the unknown to show that you can be trusted. Loyal fans/customers = recommending friends which ultimately = more money (if money is truly the end all be all). I support ME getting into more hands (I have both the 360 and the PS3), but in the case of porting ME2 to the PS3, it just seems as though they should have thought things through a bit better. They should also know by now that announcing things like this and then staying completely silent (not answering any legitimate questions) pisses people off.

Nope, sorry. Armor is being offered for free to new customers only. You paid for the armor at the time that a charge was placed upon it and that transaction is nonrefundable.

@OperativeB4, (or whatever)

I'm not sure, there was a time when all the Promo Armor was put up for free on Xbox Live. Granted it was a mistake, but it still happened.

They already confirmed that the game would include all the current DLC, which is fine because they are probably going to charge full price for a game that is $30 on other platforms.

That sounds like a nice idea.

Some kind of compensation for the ones that already downloaded the DLC would be awesome, something like this:

http://kotaku.com/55...e-left-4-dead-2

That's valve for you, an honest and great company in all ways, given their fans free stuff and apologizing properly for the mistakes they make.

Learn something from them, Bioware.

I could almost guarantee you that the DLC will be included in the PS3 version of the game.  EA and Bioware are smart enough to know that selling a year old game with 8 month old DLC will be more profitable than selling a base game and then trying to sell that $5-10 seven month old DLC>

The only message I'm getting is to not pay for the LOTSB DLC coming up since if I wait apparently I'll get it for free somehow.

It's not fine for entitled people, which is evident in the majority of the posts here.
Even if all the current DLC were made free that still wouldn't be enough for the entitled people who paid for it.

Sure, they got to enjoy the full game plus DLC content for a whole year before the PS3 crowd will, but it's still not fair for some reason. But whatever, it's probably not fair to them that PS3 owners get to enjoy the game at all.

How fair is it that PS3 only owners had to wait a year longer to play it?

Learn something from Gabe, Bioware.

But porting the game and whatever content they should choose to include isnt a error or mistake, that's a business decision they are making as a company, I'm not exactly seeing a connection of how their decision to do business is something that "harms" you out of a mistake.

You have your right to the way you feel about everything but I just dont see the connection, I mean XBL made a mistake and listed DLC that was "intended" for those who paid for the Collectors Edition of ME2, but XBL never made amends for that mistake, yet somehow Bioware making a business decision is terrible?

In addition to that, would everyone HONESTLY that are freaking out about all this which let's be honest there is not a lot of hard factual information on anyways, be ok and cool about Bioware providing new ME2 buyers for 360 and PC the majority of DLC out there via the Cerb Net, for free? If you're ok with that then why not for the PS3?

Maybe it's good business now but it'll eventually bite you in the butt. If it's free for PS3 owners then it sends a message to those who paid that Bioware doesn't care about them.

It's no different than a cel phone company or cable company offering promotional rates to attract new customers that existing customers can't get.

What is there that needs to be made up for? For making a decision to bring THEIR PROPERTY to another platform???? You are and end user, you have no real rights to your copy of ME2 or any of the DLC, say you decide to get rid of your 360 and decide to play just on PC, guess what you cant keep the DLC. You bought it at the time when it was sold for a price that you decided to pay, nobody made you buy it, you choose to buy it, but you are an end user, you have no real rights to it, again Bioware and EA OWN THE RIGHTS TO THEIR PROPERTY therefore anything they do with it is their right. There is nothing that needs to be made up for, they dont owe you anything.
