Lolz at the crying and whining... ok that's not constructive but its what I felt at all 97 pages of it.
Bioware is in business to make money if the bean counters say it will be profitable to release a game that everyone else has had for over an year on a new platform by what right or sense of entitlement allows you to think they won't?
The fact of the matter is PS3 owners are the ones getting screwed because ME1 will never be on the PS3 because Microsoft owns the publishing rights lock, stock, and barrel.
PS3 owners are the ones that don't have a choice.
Also in the 'end' Bioware now works for EA, and EA releases its products on multi-platforms all the time. So get used to it.
The term 'exclusive' is only exclusive right up until its profitable not to be.
Life is hard... Get a helmet.

I think the main problem with many is the fact that ME1 is *not* getting ported to the PS3 as well. This means that if Bioware were to make ME3 for the PS3 as well, then there is a high chance that whatever happened/whatever choices the player made in ME1 would be rendered irrelevant, because part of the story would be made canon.
It's not about fanboys whining about Bioware betraying Microsoft. It's about Bioware screwing over Mass Effect 1.
Here's the truth, you're all being paranoid.
It's already been stated on Twitter that Bioware is adding additional content into the PS3 Version to acquaint the player with the events and story of ME1, and even if it wasn't, it's obvious.
REALITY CHECK, Bioware made the Mass Effect series to be a 3 part on-going series that connects directly and reflect the player's choices, and they wouldn't screw that up just because of one port on a console that didn't get the original game in the series.
Worst case scenario, the PS3 Version of ME3 gets toned down so that ME1's choices play a smaller role.
Here, allow me to predict the future for you all...
Ever wonder why Bioware announced a port of ME2 for PS3, but no PS3 Version of the upcoming ME3? Here's why, history is going to repeat itself. Microsoft has likely already paid EA for ME3 to be an exclusive for a year, so the PS3 Version won't come out til a year later.
So even if Bioware doesn't include some form of a save generator, a retrospective, ME Genesis, etc. Then the only version of ME3 that will be affected is the PS3 Version that won't come out until a year after the PC/360 Version, understand?
That actually make compltete logical sense

Save the condescension, it's not gonna get you anywhere. And a game designed and coded from the outset for the Xbox isn't going to port over easily to Sony's PS3 with all its custom crap. That means more work for Bioware. Which means they have to divert away some manpower to deal with this port. Which means:Blk_Mage_Ctype wrote...

How long did it take for Mass Effect 2 to come out after Mass Effect 1 again?

Thanks, but it'll just get buried and people will keep spitting out the same nonsense about how the game will be gimped thanks to a single port. (Cause, you know...that's happened SO MANY times in history!)

I ask because it seems like an odd thing to do... I'd imagine that some team from EA would be handling the port so that it wouldn't hinder the production of ME3 and lose them money in the long run.
So please, may I have a link to where it says that Bioware's ME3 Dev Team are working on the port and that ME3 as a result has been delayed indefinitely?

You put that very poetically but its exactly what many other people already stated that ME1 decisions probably will not have the influence they would have had without the port its only logical that people that are with the ME from the beginning are pissed about this.
if you think that the port likely also is the reason that ME1 Decisions had practically no impact on ME2 whatsoever since the PS3 code is present in the game all along.
Do you seriously believe that only the PS3 version of ME3 would be affected ?
that is the Reason some people go a-wal here.

What should keep Devs in constant competition with each other is the desire to create better games regardless of platform or exclusivity.
BioWare is known for RPG's. BioWare should be in constant competition with other studios known for RPG's, such as Bethesda, to create the best quality RPG. If I'm a consumer and I'm only going to purchase one RPG during a given time period, BioWare (or any other game studio) should be working to ensure my purchase is their game because it's better than the competition's, not because it's exclusive to my platform.
BioWare, and other game studios, should also be in competition with their past games. Developers should constantly challenge themselves to improve on their games and not churn out formulaic drivel just because "the last one sold well."
I don't buy games based on exclusivity. An exclusive game with a boring story and poor design is just an exclusive piece of garbage. I buy games based on what they have to offer.

The PS3 fanboys spent the last 2 years ****ing about how much the ME series sucks. How it being only on PC and Xbox 360 was fine because the games and 360 both sucked. Now those same fanboys are all excited.
And now the 360/PC fanboys are lamenting how ME3 will suck now that it's cross platform.

there it is Worst case scenario, the PS3 Version of ME3 gets toned down so that ME1's choices play a smaller role
put that very poetically but its exactly what many other people already
stated that ME1 decisions probably will not have the influence they
would have had without the port its only logical that people that are
with the ME from the beginning are pissed about this.
if you
think that the port likely also is the reason that ME1 Decisions had
practically no impact on ME2 whatsoever since the PS3 code is present in
the game all along.
Do you seriously believe that only the PS3 version of ME3 would be affected ?
that is the Reason some people go a-wal here.
