Well then, let's be civilized about it and welcome the PS3 folks in the room. Mass Effect is a great game series that everybody should play.
Not just this, but it appears some people on these boards also forget that there are people who own more than a PC and/or a 360...
And if those crying in sweet salty whiner tears didn't have a problem with those who already had a PS3 and were "forced" to buy the game for another platform, why would they suddenly begin having it now?
Well, apart from their inflamatory and pompous posture against us.
Honestly, I feel a little cheated out by letting Mass Effect come to the PS3. I'm no fanboy of any console, yet I do think that PS3 fans are usually jerks. They get a ton of exclusive games which they always brag about and this is one of the games that we can say they don't have. I wouldn't be so jealous if there wasn't so many PS3 fanboys being so annoying. I just hope they don't raid the forums saying the PS3 version of the game is SOO much better than the Xbox version. (I do own the xbox, but once again not a fanboy). If they can take the game without being pains in the butt about it then I will gladly welcome them to the Mass Effect community.
Listen, I hear you... But the PS3 folks are still getting the game with a one year delay over the PC and X360 versions. Besides, it's a chance for ME2 to become GOTY 2011 (for the PS3)!!!

))
Seriously, I don't expect this move to have any influence over ME3 other than a slight delay on the final release date. Because concerning ME3, if things make any sense, they probably had the game outlined when they finished ME2. And I'm sure Bioware will find a way for PS3 players to get properly introduced with the storyline, and maybe even letting them make some customization choices with the ME1 plot. (Which, personaly, as a X360 gamer, bothers me in a childish way, 'cause I secretly wish the PS3 doesn't get a Wrex option... but that's me being silly).
Mostly, I think it's an understandable move for BioWare, and why shouldn't they capitalize on a good product? There's no harm done for those who played it already. And players only have to gain with BioWare getting stronger sales, IMO.
As for those debates on the PS3 versus X360 and which is better... those are getting as silly as it gets... I think it was IGN or G4 that recenly pulled a Mafia 2 graphics comparison on both consoles, and the thing was ridiculous... I mean, console versions are usually very very similar, and the PC still wins all the time. I do love my X360, it's comfortable and has been reliable so far... but we shouldn't allow our personal empathies get in the way of lucidity.
