The trailer WAS awesome, but I'm really pissed it wasn't gameplay !

I'm pretty sure most won't agree with me at this point, but IMO DA2 will be better than DAO (I had the same feeling for ME2 and it turned out right)

Anyway, I didn't like the DAO or the ME2 CGI trailer, but this was very good

Kate Mulgrew being back=totally awesome.
No more fond of the new art direction here than I was in the stills. I can ignore that the Qunari are unrecognizable as the same race, but that armor on Hawke is really hideous.
I wonder if this Hawke is an archane warrior, otherwise what appears to be spellcasting is a tad confusing.... The CGI was extremely well done.

Reminds me more of The Calling trailer which had the Grey Warden taking his Calling. Revealed action and weapons but nothing of the story. I hope the Sacred Ashes equivalent (showing teammates and enemies) comes soon

I would have liked to have seen more REVEALING footage, this trailer was awesome but there were only like 5 seconds of it (the flashes) where I felt like I learned anything about the actual story. Hawke fighting the Quanari was way cool, but just cool moves aren't enough to impress me. Sacred Ashes was different because we got to see a lot of different characters doing different, cool things.



That said, Flemeth as the narrator was awesome, those five seconds of flashs with Hawke were FASCINATING (WHO'S THE PIRATE WOMAN??) and this trailer ACTUALLY managed to really endear me to default Hawke, he was INCREDBILY attractive instead of all conan-esque, and I felt like he was a real person with emotions instead of RAWR BADASS SMASH.

I thought the trailer was great and can't wait for actual gameplay video. That giant hand spell was one of the coolest things I've seen.



Interesting about Kirkwall being the former center of the global slave trade...could that be one of the options if you choose to be an eeevil Hawke? To reinvigorate the slave trade? Whatever it is, I am sooo excited for more stuff to come out.
