I want to see real gamplay footage. Sacred Ashes trailer is way better than anything DA:O had in it. If this is better than the game itself... well. games should be better than their trailers, IMHO.

It wasn't dishonorable. What was dishonorable was the Qunari executing an unarmed man (The king)Kaiser Shepard wrote...
I liked the trailer, but Hawke's dishonorable victory is shameful...
Hawkes victory was awesome

The Fable 3 CGI is brilliant, the "chicken run" but it's done by Blur and has nothing to do w/ the game.
*this* impacts my decision to buy the game. Since you can still do tactical combat and control other party members, (unlike ME2) I'll buy it.
What is combat like?
Dragon Age 2 will feature reactive combat, allowing you to take
real-time control of your character in melee, ranged or spell combat.
You can pause the game to assign tactical actions to each party member,
or take direct control of any individual character while the
customizable tactical AI directs the others.

The chicken trailer was very cute if I say so myself. However, I liked the E3 trailer much better. Just listening to Logan and how he just seems so ruthless and evil to the general population. He's someone I want to smash with a glass.

Nonsense, every ruler has an army as his personal weapon. The fact that he didn't have a literal weapon himself is irrelevant.Daryn Mercio wrote...

Same here. I'll add one question too: When I import my level 35 Awakening hero or 25 Origins hero, will he be lvl 1 with no items and lousy farmer armor? hehe ...Oh.. never mind.. we don't import our chars... just b/s background stories of their interactions with the world... blergh
# Will the Dragon Age 2 story react to the decisions I made in Dragon Age: Origins?
Yes. If you import your Origins playthroughs, you will experience the consequences of the choices you made previously. However, this is not necessary to fully experience Dragon Age 2.

Sorry, I like the origin's trailer much better.
Two dudes slashing each other...kinda boring
Fact: This trailer is 10000x better if it's a Qunari chick and an Elf Chick.
Dragon Age 3 maybe?

Comes out 4 days before my birthday, happy early birthday indeed.
I do want to comment though - as a female gamer nerd, and having read a lot of this thread, I think some of the girls are going a bit overboard with the complains about male Hawke. Not trying to stir up the pot (even more), but for me, it's not a deal breaker if I can't be a girl in a video game.
I like to play all sorts of games - Gears of War, Dante's Inferno, Army of Two, etc. - and while I do enjoy the option, I wouldn't not play this game because I couldn't be female. I'm certainly a person that insists that Revan is a female despite LucasArts's sillyness about it, but I don't get hung up on it if it's not an option. I played thru DA multiple times as male and female and both experiences were really fun.
I'm just sayin. You guys KNOW you can be a girl, don't sweat it that LadyHawke isn't out there. It could just turn into T&A drooling like Lara Croft, and do you really want that for your badass LadyHawke? She's so above that. :innocent:

the trailer was interesting with flemeth narrating.. overall horrendously disappointed in the conference. me2 to ps3 was the big announcement. now i contemplate why i have an xbox...
Me too, the answers are I guess
XBOX1 classic games I still play like Sid Meir's Pirates, Kotor I and II, Fable I and II,
Mass Effect 1 (the best ME game)
XBLA exclusives like shadow complex
To rest my PS3, XBOX allows game installs to HDD, PS3 sadly just keeps churning the disc drive

2. My warden can rott in the Deep Roads for all I care. Hawke's the new sh*t.
3. I want that archtype he's using. Warmage or Mage or whatever. I want those powers, period. Devil May Cry-ish goodness. Dante Hawke. ROCK YEAH.
4. Completely blown away with the trailer's visuals and wasn't expecting Flemeth's voice-over.
All in all, I can't bloody wait for this goddam game to be released. Good job as always, BioWare

So we see a bald man wearing a crown and his knights fighting and dying to the Qunari. Then Hawke steps up to fight him, but almost loses until he draws on some powers he refused to use before but rather than dying in insignificance he 'embraces' the gift and becomes the ... Champion of Kirkwall?
I think in the trailer we see why he is called the Champion of Kirkwall. The former ruler was defeated by the Qunari, and Hawke, by defeating the Qunari leader steps up to become the next ruler of Kirkwall.

Also When he rips the quanri apart with the arm thing it almost looks like his arms detach and get replaced with flame.
I am thinking He is the same thing as flemeth where a demon possed him and he won control.

That would be one rather short game.
