If you think because people use that kind of language are COD fans or 10 year olds, you are being very ignorant and unfair.

Not at all, I said Justin Bieber fans :wizard:  Everyone uses "awesome" it's ubiquitous, it's a matter of how and when it's used.   When you put "awesome" and "bad ass" together, frequently, that's when problems occur :)

The fact that the terms "bad ass" and "awesome" have been used 50+ times in this thread illustrate the audience DA2 is being crafted for.

Those who want an "awesome bad ass" who is the "new sh**"
/sigh

Still looks good, I just wish we weren't making games for Lebron James/Green Day fans

So can't people who loved DA:O for what it was (read: me) think that the DA2 trailer is, you know, badass? The very first videos of DA:O I saw were the normal gameplay videos and I loved it. Instant buy for me there. I haven't seen the "new ****" trailer long after I finished Origins. Twice.

I really like this trailer. The Qunari changes look good and I want Hawkes armor and sword thingy. I hope someone makes a female Hawker trailer like this.

I just wished they whole good guy is losing until he gets flashbacks of his life cliche would stop.

kool trailer. I was hoping Hawke would talk a bit so we'd know how he sounds like, but oh well

I've already torn apart a different thing ... always one idiot to make a joke like this.

There's only one reason they show male Hawke. Female Hawke is in the kitchen cooking for male Hawke.

I can hear girls tearing you post apart already

BioWare knows how to take a girls breath away lol.

Love the new look and the cg trailer. One of the moves looked like from the concept art.

Yeah, its not gameplay, but then again I can't think of many games that don't use a cg vid for their advertising rather than actual gameplay.

Decent trailer but what is it with Bioware and their apparent need to have chugging metal guitars just for the sake of it?

If you're insistent on playing heavy rock in the trailer at least do it properly. That song had the most boring riff I have ever heard: chug chug chug chug chug ad infinitum.

See, I think we differ here. I don't mind those words or where they are put, really, so long as the sentiments are not ended with multiple exclamation points.

Spelling mistake in the gallery section! It says creatues instead of creatures.

What is combat going to be like?
Can I ride a horse?
How will dialogue be handled?
Is Artemis Entreri, Elminster or Jarlaxle an unlockable character?
Are #21 and #24 going to make henchmen cameo's?

All of these important questions... no one to answer them.

Two of those have been at least partially answered if you check out some of the newer previews. Combat is still largely the same, especially on the PC version, with the same pauseable combat. Only big change I've seen is that the skills activate faster.

Dialogue is handled using the wheel like ME but with a small icon showing the intent/emotion of the phrase, for example, a fist for aggressive, an olive branch for peaceful, a drama mask for comedic, etc. This is good because it avoids the pitfall of thinking the character means something in, say, an honest way, but then you realize after clicking it was sarcastic, which was a bit of an issue in the original. And before anyone says anything, the wheel allows for up to 6 dialogue choices, which is just as much as the original layout with the sentences in a row, so it's not 'totally dumbed down'.

As for the trailer...it's just a trailer. Try not read too deep into the action-oriented feel of it. It's been said several times by the devs it will largely retain the tactical gameplay from the original. Remeber those DAO trailers!

With that out of the way, looks great. Really interested in the idea of following one man's life journey rather than
another 'battle against ancient evil.' The plot as it's been described so far sounds like Front Mission 5 or a mature version of something in Suikoden - more political and nuanced than the typical good vs. evil plot. Also enjoying the look of Hawke - bearded, but still pulls off the dashing look too. Unusual, but it works.

Looking forward to seeing some more gameplay.

Good trailer. Is it wrong that I quite fancy both Hawke and the Qunari?

Also, cheers Saibh for the hi-res screenies x

Its says if you sign up for the newsletter you'll get an exclusive weapon. I assume, they don't have that up yet as I get a "page not found" error when I try it. Can anyone confirm its not just me?

I love it! no gameplay which is sad, but man i cannot WAIT for this, and considering they have a generic Hawke which looks like he does in the trailer and all the images, i am pretty sure he will have that sword spear thingy. Also IGN has an article up where they discuss playing the demo and they seem very excited at where things are headed, I have no doubts this will be one of the best games EVER!!!!!!!!

I really liked the music. The score from the first game was good, but i found it quite dull in parts. This seems to be taking a different direction, and the mix of strings and guitar reminds me a little of Sean Murray's work on Call of Duty: World at War.

The trailer itself didn't really tell much... but i'm so excited for Dragon Age 2 that at this point it doesn't really matter.

Check this out, from an IGN 'staff writer'

Instead of controlling a n00b Grey Warden focused on extinguishing the
Blight (basically like Armageddon, but with more Darkspawn and
Archdemons), your new protagonist is an upcoming human champion named
Hawke. While you can't choose your race (which is a major bummer) you
can still pick your character's class, gender and can still customize
how he or she looks.

As you assume the role of Hawke, you're immediately thrust into battle
with glitzy armor, powerful abilities and a bad-ass female mage.

And Jersey Shore has made it into DA2?

there's an olive branch for peaceful approaches, a comedy mask for witty remarks and a fist pump full of aggressive responses.

Aaaand...they changed the spelling! I wonder if they realized because it was mentioned, or because they just realized...I love spotting professional typos.
