Flemeth's lines about "there are those men" could have easily added "and women" to that. Or if she (Kate Mulgrew) was getting paid by the word, simply "those" would suffice. That way, those of us who enjoy playing strong female character roles would not feel (like what Mass Effect 2 did) that the Lady Hawke is more or less an afterthought.

I don't think they meant "men" to be interpreted that way. Think about it like "the race of men", referring to both men and women.

That's what I thought, at least.

The proof is in the pudding. Many people here love cinematic trailers and are licking up the "bad ass awesomeness" and don't care that it's not gameplay nor what gameplay will look like.

What consolized gameplay? The IGN article makes it pretty clear that combat is pretty similar to DAO just for example. If you have been such a Bioware fan I dunno why you want to talk yourself out of enjoying this game based on little evidence so far.

Sorry, don't hear any similarity there. 

Personally I think the score at 1:49 of Destiny is amazing, and I hope there's more to the song further in the game, maybe even the intro.

Wow- yeah, the Origins website is all sorts of messed up now. I magically transported to an unseen DA2 page titled "The Hero" with Hawke on it by clicking on the Mage Origin on the Origins site....

And yeah, just about none of the links work on the Origins site. Probably cause the main DA page sends you to the DA2 site now instead of Origins...

For some reason this cinematic feels an awful lot like the Warcraft III cinematic where Arthas returns from Northrend and slays his father.  I think it's a combination of the music and the crown rolling down the steps.

And is it just me or does Hawke seem an awful lot like an abomination?  Those powers he manifests seem rather demonic.

I have to disagree.  I own the Mission Impossible 2 soundtrack (even if the movie sucked, the soundtrack was cool) and I never made the connection.  The key is different, the intervals are different, the only similarity is a sequence of four notes.  That's a reeeal stretch to compare the two.

The Qunari, who is supposed to be part of an intelligent race, reminds me of the ordinary mindless enemy creatures from a boring TV show. Furthermore I don't like Hawkes appearance. He looks like a comicbook character. Achtually I think the whole game looks in comparison the DA:O very child-orientated. I don't like the direction where this is going.

Comparing with DA:O trailer this is not good... And the ending is lame...



I know in a real world in this kind of fight, the only thing matters is winning.

But for the first trailer, choose to show that the hero uses magic to hold the hands of your enemy so he can't fight back (since the hero can't beat him).... well that's kind of boring and uninteresting...
