I really felt lame for deciding to play Hawke as a mage because my (main) Warden is a mage. I figured that the chances of the two people we know about that changed the world so drastically both being mages was pretty slim. I don't feel quite as bad, now.  

Also, Vanguard power.

I was thinking more of a combination of arcane warrior and blood mage.

Trailer looked and sounded good to me. A couple thoughts:
Pirate lady... could Isabella from the Pearl return by any chance?
Hawke seems to use magic after he gets cut... blood magic?
Fighting a horned qunari... I presume that the qunari invasion will play a major role in the plot?

I liked the trailer and can't wait for the game..  already pre-ordered.. 
I think the horns on the Qunari look like part of a head piece.. sort of a helmet..

upon review and pausing...  yep horns..  but they are cool!

how about some game play videos on the main website to show that its looking good game play wise. doesn't mater what platform you picking i really dont care if you show the pc version of it but gives us some game play footage.

i am going to be very critical of this game this time around, yes you had a hit with dragon age and i loved it but you need to do more with this dragon age release then last and make sure you can keep the story line addictive and keep it going thru to the expac and not produce a expac just for fast cash grab,

i do love the new website. i jsut havea question you stated that we will be seeing some are old companions if we carry over the characters from the original dragon age orgins/expac.. does this mean we will see a certain golem that i miss so much..

and a certain swamp witch that goes by Morgana is going to be showing..

also is the character in question the baby?

Okay folks aside fromt he trailer being very impressive. I would suggest you read the FAQ. They didn't trash DAO, as a matter of fact if you import your playthrough from your DAO game your Grey Wardens choices will effect DA2.

So they didn't trash DAO they made it relevant to the game IF you want it to be.

Back to the trailer. It's going to be interesting to find out who the woman was. And from the narrator I believe we all guessed correctly that Flemath is back!

The woman in the trailer could be anyone, though I doubt she is morrigan (she's wearing too much clothing), there is that possibility, the graywarden website suggested she might be isabella from the pearl because if you remember she did have a ship and was sort of pirate like...also she could be a love from hawkes past, It seems to me that this particular part of the clip is slightly sepia colored which might mean she is from the fade

in the books, Maric's love that he ended up killing helps him through the fade as a spirit not a demon, that being said i wonder if she could be a spirit from the fade, maybe someone that died that hawke loved? i suppose we will find out

Ok how do you know that that's a Qunari?  I fought a good number of Qunari in DA:O and not one of them looked like that.  So if you could direct me to how you know it's a Qunari I'd be grateful and if it is what the heck happened?  Have they been Klingon'd?

Trailer looks good and is going to be all the media I look into until release date.  I learned my lesson with ME2.

bring on the gameplay trailer and scare many more people away than you attract with this trailer.

Is that what bioware is becoming? More action and less RPG. Come on people this is a Mass Effect in the dragon age world. There should be role playing, character creation. Bioware is just ruining the game right now. Making only human playable is just a way to evade hiring more voice actors.
