Awesomeness of the video aside, I felt disturbed that they already painted Hawke as some kind of warrior Bloodmage, in DAO terms, a Reaver + Bloodmage. He seem to use far too much blood in his rituals. Might put off some people who are used to traditional heroes. While DAO is a dark realistic fantasy game, I still like to think of my hero, whether he is anti-hero or not, in heroic terms. Right now, they made him too bad ass, although for the sake of advertising, they certainly met their mark in creating an awesome trailer. Maybe their advertising for hybrid classes, spellcaster + swordfighting. If they do, they better come up with a better idea than Arcane Warrior, because that specialisation sucked.
And I disagree. John Woo is overrated. Correy Yuen, who is normally Jet Li's coreographer, does far better fight scenes.
Don't think he's the archdemon or former archdemon if you can believe Morrigan. For one thing, they say he is a survivor of the blight: meaning he was either a baby or child and living during the blight, long before your Warden boned Morrigan. Unless Morrigan gave birth to a baby before the death of the Archdemon (giving birth while fighting with the player across Denerim. lol).
About the Qunari part, I really wished they had done that with Sten in DAO. It just seems lame they retconned the Qunari to have horns, saying that Sten is different. Frankly I always wondered why Sten is considered a different species considering, apart from his size, he looks human. Now they realised its too hard to tell apart just by size, and so gave the Qunari horns. Also I thought the Qunari were more technologically adept, but instead the one we got in the trailer was just pure badass barbarian. Would be more logical if he tried to kill Hawke with a bigass cannon, musket or arbalest instead.
My burning question though, is whether the Darkspawn and Grey Wardens is still relevant to the storyline. thought?
