I liked it, tho I liked the Sacred Ashes trailer more, I dunno why but I did.

It was alright. Pretty visuals, but nothing groundbreaking. I'd like to know a bit more about the story, but I suppose this early that is probably not a realistic expectation.

the trailer was interesting with flemeth narrating.. overall horrendously disappointed in the conference. me2 to ps3 was the big announcement. now i contemplate why i have an xbox... then again i have the collector's edition of me1, me2, and da:o and all of the dlc all on xbox. the only ps3 games i own are exclusives except ffxiii. BUT none of the xbox games i own are exclusives... except limbo on xbla and splinter cell conviction, but i have the original bioshock case that says only on 360. damn you bioware for confusing my desire for consolidation.

As for Varric (i'm 100% sure that was him in one of the screenshots preceding the trailer) - so far i'm not impressed. In concept arts he seemed like a sneaky rogue type, very agile, lithe even. On screenshot he looks like Jubba the Hutt Bioware, I am disappoint.

Yeah as the person responsible for the Varric thread I have to agree. I still think his personality sounds awesome but if he looks like a Hutt I'll love him like I love Oghren and not really so much as a romance option. Ah well, it's not too late to make him look like the concept art, guys!

It's called a Polearm to answer the general question. If you want the specific name (like there are longswords and greatswords) then it's a Halberd. A sword strapped to a spear. And let the HalBEARD jokes commence!

It's a pike! Probably a half-pike, since full pike were...very long.

pikes are HUGE versions of the Spear but they are also a Polearm so you are close. Like I said, its a sword strapped on a pole for greater range. It's a Halbeard (har har u c wat i did thar?)

Yes, yes I did. But no, I didn't make up 'Half-pike' by taking pike and putting half in front of it. Half-pikes are actually what that is, I'm pretty certain. Google it, looked like one to me.

They stated multiple times a gameplay trailer would follow down the path. What option does it leave for this trailer? Right, CGI. And you got CGI. Enjoy it. You'll have more later.

What I preferred about this trailer over Sacred Ashes is the focus solely on Hawke, my main problem with Sacred Ashes is that of all your team, the warden seems to do nothing. You'd think from the Sacred Ashes trailer that Morrigan was the main character lol.

Thjere are chances that this time the trailer sticks more to what we'll probably
see ingame - if so, then yes, in that way the Da RtP trailer would be  better.

I liked it, probably becouse I didnt have super high expectations. It was the first trailer for a new game. I was just glad it wasnt just a teaser



I'm more looking forward to gameplay footage, but talking about just the trailer that has come out, I liked it alot.

Only thing I dont like about it, is how it talks about the future of dragon age. It seems Hawke kind of destroys everything Dragon age Origins was to me, and goes back more to medival Shepard as others have said, this one super uber dude coming to save us all.

lol speaking of that, Bethany had a diff skin show'n outfit on (i likes~!) and Hawke's iconic(too soon?) armor was missing, Varric also looked completely diffrent from his artwork (in a bad way, not a good way like Alistair)

I loved seeing Varric in the back there. I was half hoping he'd be in the trailer.
