4. Will I meet romanceable characters?
Yes. You will be able to engage in romances with certain NPCs in your party and throughout the world.
Now that's got me mighty intrigued.

Indeed they do, which makes it even wierder. To be fair, if you look at Japanese samurai there are many samurai equipped with a weapons exactly like Hawke's. I cannot remember its name (it's Japanese after all) but from blade-to-hilt-to-orb at end they're identical. I wonder... why have ancient Japanese weapons in a fantasy European setting?DaringMoosejaw wrote...
That is quite true. The moment I saw him jumping to slash that thing, I was like, "That's not how you use a polearm, man." Halberds typically have axe-heads, don't they? But, hey, looked cool, so who cares!

The trailer strikes some perculiar similairities with the NWN intro cinematic.
Horned oponent who wields an axe, Hero wielding a (big) sword, the desperate dirty move to win..
Not that it's bad =p I was just like, wait a minute, that remeinds me of the NWN cinematic..
Thats it!Pzykozis wrote...

]I tried googling and tried wikipedia but nothing came out that remotely resembles the weapon. To be fair, neither does a halbeard (har har). Pikes and Spears are used for stabbing, while Halberds are used for slashing. Even if it was a half-pike then Hawke is obviously using wrong:unsure:

Kinda reminded me of a Naginata, though the blade is a lot longer and western.

In the flashback sequence with the (I'm assuming) love interest pirate, did anyone else think it looked like Hawke was attacking her before she pointed her dagger at him, or is my mind putting in things that aren't there to fill in the blanks?

That's because it's not a sword.jazzy B 3 wrote...
I am slightly surprised by the Japanese feel of the trailer. The sword with a hilt as long as it's blade?

I am slightly surprised by the Japanese feel of the trailer. The sword with a hilt as long as it's blade? Impractical and seems more in the style of Japanese animation. However, I notice that the concept art released has a similar oriental-flavour to it's weaponry. Maybe the Qunari really are the Japanese of Thedas. The animation style was also similar to FF VII film. Not a negative, but a surprise element in the production for me.
