Aveline looks bad. ass.

Also, I'm calling Wesley and Carver as the two that die. Wesley is already injured, and Carver is probably very young. Beth has a much better chance at surviving then either of them, considering she's a mage.

Mark my words. As soon as we learn that Hawke's badass default armor with animated cape-thing exists only in Varric's imagination, the RAGE will begin.

I really want your brother and mom to die because I think it would be interesting to have a married couple for companions (maybe you can seduce one and break them up!), and also dragging my mom around while I kill things and she yells at me to like use a health poultice or something would TOTALLY cramp my style

Your mother could survive and not be a party member for the rest of the game, just someone who turns up later, like the companions from the origin stories. That's my guess.

The chantry is in ruins, and the world is on the brink of war...

Hmm, that sounds interesting. I'm really curious.

The templar's wife is described as a body builder, while the templar is said to be wounded.

Yes, his wife will be dying while he survives. Clearly that is the most logical outcome! :D

It's magic. You can have your bodybuilder woman  But i'd rather have a wounded templar tormented by the death of his loved ones. Oh, wait... I've seen this before...

Who said I wanted Aveline? I was merely stating that given that Aveline is a warrior (and a clearly strong one at that, if you look at the screenshot), she has a more likely chance of surviving as opposed to her gimp of a husband.

Nah, but you're probably right - the bodybuilder even has a name, while a templar is just that - a wounded templar who jumps at the mention of apostates.

... whose name is Wesley. :)

Oh SNAP! I have to reread the article)))

I actually really liked that write up. It seems she was well aware of the fan concerns about DA2 and made a point of describing why people shouldn't be as worried as they are. Yes the camera is changing, but from the sounds of it it'll still be very tactical. A shame that it doesn't hark back to BG perhaps, but if it works just as well then surely that isn't a deal breaker?

Other than that it sounds just like DAO, but with a few new ideas and some risks thrown in. I like to see the odd risk in a sequel, it shows the devs aren't resting on their laurels. I'm very happy with what I'm seeing so far.

I do wonder how Flemeth plans to use Hawke though, she intended to use the Warden to aquire a god baby, and when she meets Hawke she doesn't yet know that will fail. What else could she be after then? From the looks of things it could be connected to the civil war.

As long as the sword is real, I'm fine with it.

I dunno. If both Wesley and Carver die it will be an all-woman party (Hawke can also be female, right? RIGHT?!). I don't know why, but I seriously doubt this will happen. So at least one man will survive (again, apart from Hawke).

I think your mom is almost guaranteed to die. Moms never fair well in fantasy stories. I'm guessing either Avaline or Wesely won't make it either. If after escaping Lothering your next destination is Kirkwall someone with Templar connections would be the most valuable companion. Having Wesely or his wife along would make sense.

I think the final answer of who lives and who dies might surprise you. Might surprise everyone, in fact. Image IPB

Flemeth and her damn manipulating with others :/ She manipulated my Warden now she gonna manipulate Hawke. I don't want to get manipulated by her and her damn daughters again it just ends badly. I want to punch her this time and tell her I don't want or need your help and suspicious super powers from you, leave me alone I can do on my own grgrgr.

Hawke dies and is brought back via demonic possession. He is possessed by a naughty lust demon.

He must now carry a massive phallic sword-spear around and kiss every woman he comes across or he will lose control to it.

I'm glad I actually read that. It gave a pretty good impression for me.

Ah Flemeth, what wacky things are you up to now girl?

Hawke is modeled after alexander the great. If it has a pulse, he/she must "conquer" it.
