I have just recently successfully soloed BG 1 with a fighter/druid. So I imported him into BG 2 and am attempting to solo with him as well. I decided would post any interesting results into this thread. My setup:
BG 2
Throne of Bhaal Expansion
Official Throne of Bhaal patch
No mods
Core Rules including on level ups
With Reloads
No Bag of Holding
Crezzat the Half/elf fighter/druid
STR 18/09 DEX 19 CON 19 INT 13 WIS 19 CHA 16
He made it out of Chateau Irenicus without too much problem. I had to be pretty creative looting-wise, but being solo I know his cash should be pretty good. He took a ton of damage from traps, especially the traps to get the key out of Ellesime's bedroom so I could proceed. But thanks to his decent HP (about 90 at the time) he survived. He used the +1 dagger. He did have Imoen detrap and lockpick the painting with the +1 dagger before he kicked her out. This will probably be my only use of an NPC this game. With summons, most of the harder battles went fairly easy. The mephit portals were interesting, I couldn't hit them with my dagger so had to switch to the +1 quarterstaff.
Starting level: Level 7 fighter/level 8 druid
Proficincies starting out:
** dagger
** quarterstaff (gotta have some proficiency useful against clay golems)
** sling
After Imoen got captured by the Cowled Wizards and selling, my first priorities were to get my AC higher and to buy a scroll & gem cases to make looting easier, not to mention can keep important scrolls available. (protection from undead, protection from petrification, etc.). Was a bit shy for a +2 medium shield, so solved the circus problem and was able to buy the +2 medium shield after that. I then deal with Pebblecrusher (see my post in the Pebblecrusher thread in the BG 1 spoiler forum). So after all of this AC is now -8. Was using staff mace as primary weapon at this point.
Being solo, I did not want to lug around those dryad acorns forever, so my first stop out of town was Windspear Hills. I did the turn in there, and avoided any fighting if I could. I helped the sick harper, then got to the business of helping Nalia.
I am truly trying to do this solo, so did not have Nalia join me though I knew would get more gold that way. My general tactic for most of the trolls was keeping ironskin up and using level 2 spell flame blade to finish them off. For the harder fights used summons. I fought Glacius with low resources (e.g., with only a few spells memorized all irrelevant for fighting him) and ended up having to reload. The 2nd time around I had him fight a Fire Elemental which he couldn't damage! So just slinged away and he ended dying fast this time. Was getting full of loot so had go to Athkatla to sell and come back.
For the golem room I killed all of them one at a time EXCEPT the iron golem. Without Nalia, I had no way to kill it yet since my best weapon is only a +2. But managed to loot everything in the room then run when it chased me. I used the stew for the Umber Hulks (had to use a invisibility potion). For Torgal I had a fire elemental and a couple of Nymphs. He ended up dying pretty fast was a bit surprised. He killed my summons but Crezzat decided to pull the last two big trolls. No summons to use, but with his -9 AC he tanked them pretty well. Nalia's keep saved.
After reporting the good news to Nalia, she gave me 650 gold and made me Lord of the Keep. Headed back to the slums to sell and deal with the Slaver problem in the Copper Coronet. A fire elemental made dealing with the Beastlord very easy.
I wanted both the Blackblood club (so would have something +3 and also blunt weapon) and the shield of harmony so time to kill some genies. So at Ribald's bought a protection from petrification scroll and headed to deal with the genies. I used my standard anti-mage buffs plus using the protection from petrification scroll and got a clean victory (for the actual list of buffs see list few paragraphs below). Reported my success to the guildmistress to get my shield of harmony, and from the nearby merchant got my Blackblood club and Cloak of Displacement. Noticed that the club does acid damage so will even kill trolls for me, nice!
I stopped by Watcher's Keep and cleared part of the first level to get some things: 1) A potion bag. Will help with looting 2) Got the ammo pouch which can carry unlimited amount of ammo and the last one was unexpectedly useful 3) Forget name but got the +3 dart which returns after every use. Finally something that can kill the Iron Golems and the like from a distance, so was welcome news. Did have to reload once here, just before getting the ammo belt which is what I was after, got hit by an instant kill trap, Chromatic Orb maybe. I cast bless 2nd time around and this time saved against it. Once I got the ammo belt left the Keep.
Back in the docks found a secret pirate hideout at the Sea's Bounty. Before entering I used my now standard buffs for fighting mages Bless, Armor of Faith, Remove Fear (I thought only clerics got access to this, so not sure how I got access to this unless it's my high wisdom (19)), protection from fire & lightning, chaotic commands, iron skin and death ward. Once I entered summoned two nymphs, two bears and a fire elemental. Was overkill, but intended to rest anyways, so might as well use everything I got.
I agreed to help Xzar find Montaron. Before allowed entry the Harpers had a task for me to do at Prebek's house. I battled two mages and some goblins. Using the same buffs as above paragraph gave me a clean victory.
At the moment am a level 10 fighter/level 12 druid, -9 AC and 100 HP.

Update 1 on Crezzat the solo Fighter/Druid:
With two bears and a nymph helping him, Crezzat solved the sewer riddle easily. He can't use the sword though, so just had to sell it. He sold what junk he collected and came back to the sewers to enter the slaver compound.
Before he did, he cast bless, armor of faith, remove fear, chaotic commands, death ward, protection from lightning and fire, and iron skin on himself then entered the slaver dry-docked ship.
He cast two bears in the upper left and a fire elemental to the right, and then two nymphs. The nymphs and a bear got charmed so ended up having to fight some of my own summons. However one of the nymphs charmed one of the fighters, so guess it's fair. Crezzat took almost no damage was a complete victory. We battled two trolls but with Crezzat's -10 AC they weren't a problem at all.
Most of my summons were dead except for the fire elemental. I sent the fire elemental by itself against the two mages and archers in the room, while Crezzat beat up the Yuan-tis. Then Crezzat went south to help but there weren't any enemies so he just looted what he could. Eventually he found the fire elemental somehow drew the enemies to the two cells and so looted their stuff there. Crezzat reported his success to Hendak, and Hendak was quite pleased. Crezzat's gold is topping out at 40k now. He has huge expenditures coming up (Shield of Balduran, Paying Galen Bayle) so the money is kind of illusory. His intent is to not pay Galen until all the night encounters are done, if possible.
Next we agreed to help Renal Bloodscalp investigate Maevar. I had to get on Maevar's good side first, so had to do some tasks for him. He wanted an amulet from a priestess of Talos. Luckily Crezzat managed to bash open the chest that had the amulet. Crezzat thought he heard noise in the sewers and so went to investigate. He did all his summons (two bears, fire elemental, two nymphs) and engaged Tarnor the Hatchetman's gang. The nymphs didn't do anything as they got almost immediately stunned. However the two bears and fire elemental was giving these bandits quite a beat down. While the summons were distracting the enemy, Crezzat kept slinging them. He is using the sling of seeking (gets STR bonus), plus with 19 STR and +2 bullets the damage from Crezzat was considerable. He was victorious. He got a lot of valuable loot and still had one looting spot left. The fire elemental survived the carnage, so sent him south and together Crezzat's sling and the fire elemental took down some kobolds and a Rakshashka. Got a cloak which put's Crezzat's AC at -10 now. Nothing was an upgrade so just sold it all for a huge influx of cash.
Then Edwin needed a cowled wizard disposed of. They took Imoen so that seemed OK. Crezzat defeated the mephits, though he was taking so much damage he summoned some bears to speed up the killing.
Simply casting ironskin was more than enough prep to take down the stone golems upstairs. However before Crezzat did that he tried to loot downstairs and got level drained from a trap. He used a restoration scroll but now he is tired and missing some spells -- oops.
Before fighting Rayic Gethras did my standard anti-mage buffs: bless, armor of faith, remove fear, protection from lightning (my protection from fire was lost when I got level drained from the trap), death ward, chaotic commands then went upstairs. Summoned some nymphs but they just got slaughtered so they weren't much help. Lost my fire elemental spell as well from the trap so ended up just meleeing Rayic. With Crezzat's protections, Rayic couldn't do anything substantial. And the blackblood club often interrupted Rayic's spells due to the 3 acid damage going past the stoneskins. Rayic fell, as did his invisible stalker helper.
Reported my success to Edwin and he was happy. Next, I had to get some documents from someone named Marcus for a measly 250 gold. Then Maevar wanted me to eliminate someone named Barl, but I just took his dagger and Maevar seemed pleased. Finally talking to Edwin and he gave me a key so I could get the evidence that Renal wanted.
Next post: the battle vs. Maevar and his goons, how will it go?

Just a quick update:
Crezzat bought some undead scrolls (just in case he needed them) and headed to the town of Immesvale in Umar Hills area. A cowled wizard needed some mimic blood. I realize Crezzat does not have free-action spell and no item that gives him free action either...however he did have the shield of harmony and that appeared to protect him from the mimic's hold attack. Before engaging the mimic Crezzat had summoned two mountain bears. Together they made short work of the mimic.
So we gave the cowled wizard that mimic blood, but then his own stone golem turned on him. However, with ironskin active, Crezzat destroyed the golem easily taking no damage. The cowled wizard left and Crezzat helped himself to the stuff lying around. Crezzat can't use the Ilbratha, unfortunately so just sold the junk. He is now at 60k gold.
Interestingly while on the way to the ranger's cabin got waylaid by a bunch of shadows, including a greater shadow. These mobs got Crezzat a level so he was happy.
Crezzat the Fighter/Druid:
Level 11 fighter/Level 13 druid, 105 HP, -10 AC
The next druid level is 1.5 million experience, and considering the druid level is only 750k right now, looks like Crezzat will be level 13 for a long time, druid wise. Next fighter level is 1,000,000 experience and the fighter level is also at 750k right now.

Crezzat the fighter/druid update 3:
So Crezzat headed to the Umar Hills area. He actually tanked the shadows and skeletal warriors very well. I did encounter some bone golems and a greater mummy, but with a fire elemental helping they weren't too much problem.
The shadow dragon himself was a completely different matter. I was level 11 fighter/level 13 druid going into the battle. I did a dozen reloads but was determined to beat him. This is what finally worked:
1) Summoned weak summon and send to shadow dragon alone to draw its death spell
2) Summoned two fire elementals
3) Did basic buffs like ironskin, armor of faith, remove fear, haste potion
4) Sent elementals toward dragon and slinged. Tried a dispel magic not sure if it helped or not.
5) Elementals eventually died I head to the NE corner of the room. The dragon couldn't hit me but his massiv level drain breath attack CAN reach. I had 5 negative plane protections memorized. I kept that up and slinged the dragon. When the dragon would try to level drain it wouldn't work, BUT it would cause my character to get into melee range since it reduced the visible area for the character. I forced it to wait it out, then sling from distance again.
6) Eventually ran out of negative plane protections but the dragon was still allive. I then used restoration scrolls on myself whenever I got level drained and resumed slinging. After while finally got the fruit of my victory.

I realized afterwards that I could have avoided negative plane protection/restoration scroll business if I had simply got the amulet of power before fighting the dragon. Would have been a much easier fight. Oops.
I had no spells thanks to the level drains, but I DID still have my haste potion running. Decided would heal up and do DUHM and charge the Shade Lord. With his -10 AC he destroyed the Shade Lord, shades and shade alter fairly easily.
After headed back to sell my junk now at 85k gold. Decided now was a good time to break down and give Galen Bayle his money for the amulet of power and ring +2 which would be both ugrades.

Crezzat the Fighter/Druid update 4: Chapter Two
Most of the quests/battles in chapter two have been completed.
Most went without a hitch, except that I did have to reload once doing the planar prison quest. I put all my anti-mage buffs on myself and thought, "I won't need chaotic commands will I? My shield of harmony already protects against almost everything chaotic commands does except for stun.". Well as it turns out, power word: stun IS part of the yuan-ti mages' scripts. Oops. Reloaded did everything exactly the same but this time DID use chaotic commands and complete victory. The rest of the batltes in the planar prison weren't difficult though they did take a while, as one of the mages kept going invisible. The master of thralls was beat easily using sling & two fire elementals. As for the warden I sent ALL my summons, so it took quite a bit of resources but that combined with my sling brought him down.
Since there were so few things left (planar sphere/firkraag's lair/liches/twisted rune compound) decided would go ahead and finish the tasks for Linvail. Clearing out the vampire coven wasn't difficult with judicious use of summons. While fighting in vampire lair I hit 3,000,000 experience and got two HLA picks - picked Deva and Globe of Blades.
So for Bodhi, I had two fire elementals, a Deva and a Nymph -- Bodhi conceded quickly. When I exited the vampire coven I got a druid messenger, saying I should challenge for leadership of the druid grove (even though I already have the fighter stronghold, which is interesting). I did so (which is the first time ever I have done so in all my playthroughs) and got a reward of a +2 ring after winning the challenge! Since only a player character can challenge for leadership, this is a nice perk for any player who is part druid for their classes. Couldn't use of course as Linvail already gave me a +2 ring so had to sell it...
Next Update: Firkraag's lair and Firkraag himself
Crezzat the fighter/druid:

Crezzat the fighter/druid update 5:
So Crezzat battles his way through Firkraag's Lair. Battles of Note:
1) Against Admantite golems used my +3 dart that returns after each use
2) The mass of undead was dealt with by a Deva with blade barrier activated, with Crezzat helping with his dart.
3) The Deva unsummoned before could use against Samia. I only had a single Fire Elemental available. Decided to try it anyways. Opening move was insect plague - was massively effective as you can see:

4) Greater Wolfwere - despite a massive force arrayed against it (2 fire elementals, Deva, dire wolf, Crezzat with hasted darts) could't kill the last Greater Wolfwere. Think this is some sort of bug. Ended up fleeing while the battle was raging, and everytime I passed the creature would be invisible via ring.
5) Conster - made sure to be protected with death ward and the like otherwise was just Crezzat throwing his dart and a lesser air elemental (via staff of air). Took a while but Conster eventually fell.
6) Firkraag - Was fighter 14/druid 14 going into this fight. Had two fire elementals and a Deva, with fire protection on Crezzat. Crezzat is using Dragon Helm so that put his fire resistace to 105%. The summons got killed quickly. Tried to run to entrance but Firkraag can follow. Wasn't even hasted, but decided what the heck. Decided to tank with his blackblood club at 2 APR. A lot of heals via Rod of Resurrection on myself, but tanking this way Firkraag actually fell! I rarely tank firkraag this way:

Garren Windspear was quite happy as you might imagine. Only twisted rune and a few liches left decided time to head to Brynnlaw. But forgot to get the shield of Balduran before setting sail. Oops.
Perth the adept was beat pretty easy just tanking him (with my anti-mage protections up first) -- a strange bug occurred. He got chunked, as I could loot the wardstone and the book of infinite spells, but spells were still being cast at me (a clone maybe?) couldn't see it so just booked it out of there after looting.
Spellhold battles were mostly straightforward with just a few notes.
1) For the book that eventually gives you a free action ring, used a Deva to help with the hard fights. However, used a protection from petrification scroll, chaotic commands and death ward before summoning the Beholder as I know he tries to petrify. The beholder fell.
2) Room of powerful undead on the way to Dace: Sent my best summons (Fire Elementals (2x), Lesser Air Elemental, Deva), but the Deva got stunned by the lich so couldn't help much. Crezzat stayed at a distance but when it became it clear the summons couldn't do the job he buffed himself and charged. He was able to clean up the mess.
3) Dace - with ironskin active and haste potion (and of course the amulet of power to prevent level drains) that was enough to put the beat down on Dace
Spellhold Irenicus Battle:
Insect plague wasn't available so tried just insects spell - think Irenicus saved. Battle lasted a long time, Irenicus cast a ADHW so had to book it out of the area and keep throwing my dart at him. Wanev managed to stun Irenicus and he took a ton of damage thanks to that belt that prevents Irenicus from dying -- once the stun wore off, Irenicus conceded defeat. With the assassins he sent, used ring of human influence to charm one of them and use his help to beat them down. My -10 AC plus wearing full plate which adds -3 to piercing defense just doesn't help these thieves...
Next Update: Sahuagin City
Fighter level 16/Druid level 14, 104 HP, -10 AC, 4 million experience
My AC and HP a bit lower because replaced Helm of Balduran with Dragon Helm for the resistances.

Crezzat the fighter/druid update 6:
A ton happened. Last you guys heard Crezzat was in Sahuagin City. He is now on his way to Suldanessar. Incidents of note:
* Sahuagin City
Most enemies here were fairly easy to deal with. Insect plague was particulary devastating. Mages became quite a bit less dangerous once Crezzat got the cloak of mirroring. Avoided traps when retrieving Sekolah's tooth by staying on edges of the imp's circle. Decided to side with the King -- with a Deva running globe of blades and Crezzat's melee, they took them down. The prince did some nice damage though before he went down, but not enough to make a difference.
* Underdark
- Had to reload once on the trapped prisoners, got hit with an instant death spell. Had death ward 2nd time, plus summon distractions and no problems then.
- Passed on both Illithids and Beholders lairs. Illithids have trouble even with a full party And for the beholders dont have my shield of balduran (forgot it at the Copper Coronet chest where I kept my junk before I got the bag of holding). Cloak of mirroring/shield of harmony might be enough, but I don't need anything there.
- With summons helping, cleared out the Kara-toa lair, including the demon knights. Had to do a lot of healing but managed to burn them down.
- Gnome village problem - Took a reload here, tried to melee first time but didn't cast remove fear and got feared which was fatal. Second time around found out there's a spot you can range attack the Balor if you have a +3 ranged weapon (I had the +3 dart from Watcher's Keep at this point) where the Balor can't reach you and if you are solo, see this screenshot:

- First Ust Natha mission - I went invisible to meet with Soulafein. I wanted all my resources to deal with the Illithids and Umber Hulks and then use left over power to deal with the ambush on the way there. For rescuing phaere, had a deva, 2 fire elementals, lesser air elemental, and lesser earth elmental and chaotic commands on Crezzat. Crezzat did whirlwind couple of times and that was enough for victory though suprising number of summons fell.
- Ambush on the way to Phaere - while I did have summons, insect plague made this fighter easier than with a full party, see screenshot:

Rest of Ust Natha quests were unremarkable, nothing hard after that. I checked the 3rd drow vendor and he had something I had NEVER purchased - a +3 staff that has a chance to insta-kill golems! Since I can't use Crom Faeyr, this will come in handy for Suldanessar. Learn something new every day...So of course got that staff.
While battling my way to the surface past the elf and drow patrols, the last dark elft got me druid level 15 -- wow what a difference! Spell-wise level 15 druid like 3-4 times stronger than a level 14 druid. I now have a globe of blades memorized and that has been proving quite useful for solo play.
So after escaping the Underdark, had a few areas still to do before Bodhi:
* Twisted Rune Compound - for the lower level, firestorm plus storm of vengeance made short work of most of the summons, just had to finish off the Glaberuzu. Then globe of blades plus Deva made short work of upstairs.
* Planar Sphere - took Valygar along, it was his ancestor after all. Kicked him out when we finished his quest though of course. With all the summons Crezzat has, plus he is a decent melee himself the fights were pretty straight-forward. I had Valygar using the Gesen bow most fights just so I wouldn't have to spend resources healing him.
* Illithids in the sewers - decided Crezzat would battle him. He used a ton of summons, mostly the summons all got mauled. For the final battle with Halhoon(? spelling), decided Crezzat would do the work himself. He hasted via potion, chaotic commands, 2 potions of genius, globe of blades and ironskin. He then charged and cast storm of vengeance and meleed away. This was quite effective, he didn't even get INT drained at all which was suprising...he even gained a level here. The hammer is useless since I can't use, but guess am keeping for sentimental reasons.
* North Forest - reloaded a few times, but still couldn't get past the mage he kept Mazing me ending my game. Decided to pass on this area, not like I need the experience or loot here.
* Roenall attacks my Keep - only had ironskin/chaotic commands running. Then my opening spell was insect plague...just devastated the enemies, Roenall's morale broke, I cast call lightning on him and was ranging away with my firetooth dagger. A single Deva was keeping the small fry busy. The keep was saved and incredibly got another level here.
* Bodhi - for the initial vampire ambush as you zone into the graveyard district, had ironskin + globe of blades. Easy, peasy...I did have Drizzt and the thieves and the paladins help, but was completely unnecessary. Was even inconvenient a little because had to worry about friendly fire (that is myself accidentallly injuring these "helpers"). For Bodhi herself, I did sunray (from helm of brilliance) + hardiness (just in case) + greater whirlwind. Surprisingly that was enough to burn her down. Didn't even get damaged.

Crezzat final SoA Update:
So Crezzat battles in Suldanessar. I saw less creatures than usual (because game knows I am solo?) but what battles there were Crezzat came out on top.
I decided at this level should be able to tank Nizi with globe of blades right? I shouldn't need summons right? Well I did tank him but since can't breach him took forever, used so many rod of resurrection heals almost lost it (down to 1 charge), however Nizi did fall:

I realized I had forgotten to get the Rod of Resurrection that Ribald sells. So went back to get it. But when I came back kept getting owned (insta-killed) by a Yuan-ti mage of all things in the North Forest. After several reloads I had enough - I summoned a Deva, 4 fire elementals and let them battle the yuan-tis (including the mage) while I stayed out of sight -- much better. After that finally could make my way to Suldanessar.
For the tree of life fight used a proctection from magic scroll - poor Irenicus couldn't do anything and eventually he fell. The hell fight however that strategy isn't quite as good due to the balors and pit fiends. First try failed. So instead I just buffed to the max, had some summons nearby (but far enough away that some should survive Irenicus' death spell) and using whirlwind/seed heals was able to burn down the demons. I then made sure I had 5 summons and chased after Irenicus. I used my firetooth dagger while the rest of the summons got into his face. I had true seeing active which I think was messing up Irenicus plans. He was losing as you can see here:

On to ToB. I have no clue whether a fighter/druid can solo ToB - there are just SO MANY enemies...but won't know till I try.

Crezzat the fighter/druid ToB Update 1:
So did a few knick-knack quests for Saradush, fought a few infinite number of giants, and then realized something -- the total experience for my character is 8,000,000 experience which is the max for ToB! So now, I am only fighting for upgrades or loot I guess if I need cash (seems doubtful had about 200k from SoA, and ToB has even more loot).
This should make my run much more focused, however. We will see if we can do it, wish me luck Melissan gives me tough time even with a full party. And I have never soloed Draconis before...

Crezzat the fighter/druid ToB Update 2:
So the run is still going, if a bit slow. Using minor summons, Gromnir's men you encounter after breaking into the Jail Cells were no problem. The only really dangerous enemy is the mage, but the mage used death spell on my fire elemental then activated his time stop -- but problem was I was out of visual range, so he didn't do anything. Sent a couple more summons (a nymph and a fire elemental) and they managed to finish the mage.
For the next level I buffed to the max. I went upstairs and cast insect plague. Even at these levels the spell is just devastating. Then cast a deva, and then we just mopped up the enemies.
Next was Gromnir. Insect plague worked so nice I tried it again. It caused some of the enemies morale to break, used GWW on Gromnir and he went down simply enough. While the enemies were being harassed with insect plague I was using my firetooth dagger on them, and they fell without really doing any appreciable damage to my character.
Next the North Forest. Lot of enemies here, but only real threats are the mages and the fire giants. Crezzat and a Deva were able to defeat most of the enemies. She unsummoned herself, then summoned an earth elemental and a fire elemental, and again with Crezzat using his firetooth throwing dagger they were able to mop up the rest of the enemies.
The old Bhaal Temple: Summoned a Deva again. Had her have her globe of blades active and she also cast chaos. Crezzat cast sunray via his helm of briliance which destroyed maybe 1/2 the enemies. The Deva finished the undead master (30,000 exp for that killl! Too bad I am at my cap...) and Crezzat finished off the small fry.
We did the kills quick enough sent Deva against the skeletons in the temple, with again Crezzat assisting with his firetooth dagger. No problems. The Deva unsummoned once these enemies were dead, so Crezzat had to clean up a ghast/ghoul mess but he did that fine with shield of harmony equipped to prevent holds.
He agreed to help Nylee get her heart an Yaga-Shura's heart back. Yaga's temple is next target...
