Indeed. Those shots could be from regular gameplay, but they might not be. I certainly wouldn't go using them as proof of anything story-related.

The stick is, itself, angry. It sort of glowers from the corner of the room, muttering about how we are all jerks and it could definitely find a better office to hang out in, and it's totally leaving now, and we'll all just see how rotten we feel when it is gone.

I don't take that as being like Morrigan but more that she is exceedingly pragmatic, maybe because she's been burnt from following causes in the past.

Aveline looks very good. Its also very refreshing to see a buff chic in a crpg. I think its the first time I have seen one actually. Mostly female warriors in games look like thin modells, really. This one actually looks like she can wield a sword, or plant an axe into the face of a darkspawn. I guess Aveline is my favorite so far, of the companions that has been revealed.
