The darkspawn beat-em up scene is more of a reflection on her character... I think
I plan on using her as my main tank, mostly because I want to be the guy dishing out the melee dps

And THIS is likely the reason that I play a male mage for Aveline. She will like me....
eventually.....

It is the darkest of days, Kirkwall lies besieged by the dreadnoughts of the qunari fleet whose cannons have brought low the twin sentinels of the sea gate and now pound the walls of the city as they sail into the harbour mouth.
The city guard and the peasant levy huddle behind the battlements of the sea wall, their nerve shattered by the ferocity of the qunari guns and the alien chanting of the invaders. Only their captain the proud warrior Aveline strong right hand of the champion shows no fear, she stands atop the walls and watches the approaching ships her fiery mane flying free in the high winds and in her hand a blade of naked steel.
In a clear voice that echoes from the high cliffs the warrior woman begins to sing the battle anthem of the men of Kirkwall and one by one the guard stand to join their captains call to arms until their battle song drowns out both the thunder of the guns and the chanting of the qun.
Men of Kirkwall stop your scheming, can't you see their ships are nearing.
Hear their mighty cannons screaming, as they come to war.
Men of Kirkwall stand ye steady, it cannot be ever said ye,
For the battle were not ready. Freemen never yield.
From the cliffs resounding, let our song be sounding.
Sommon all at champions call, the heathen foe surrounding.
Men of Kirkwall on to glory, this will ever be your story.
Keep the makers words before ye, kirkwall will not yield.
With respects to the men of Harlech and Rorkes drift.
100 pages well done ladies and gents.

I like playing female charcters...just never play them as often as I should...probably because I think all the female LI's are nothing but eye candy with crap personalitys (cept Alistair lol)

Most of the time I'm having trouble RP-ing as a fem character. No idea why, but I never get around to finish it for some reason. But I make up for it with my normal characters =P

Well, the Garrus & Thane romances were quite sweet in my oppinion.
My favorite romance, overall and for the moment, wasn't made by BioWare tbh. I'm talking about Visas Marr and the Exile in Kotor2. There wasn't any 'action' so to speak, but the feeling conveyed was brilliant. Then they ruined it with the cannon fiasco, but I chose to ignore it, so let's not even mention that.
I'm looking forward to see if BioWare can change my oppinion however. With Aveline I hope
I was mainly refering to the DA romances (yes even DA2's -hides behind fangirl proof glass-)And Jacob...but lets not talk about THAT one....KOTOR 2's was actually pretty good Visas was good especially. But KOTOR 2 was a slow and painful disapointing death for me. Let's not talk about that half finished...thing anymore....Carth Onasi had a crap personality, Kaiden was a copy & paste job as far as I'm concerned. Garrus, while funny as hell...seems kinda weird to me. Thane...well...thats just a typical James Bond fantasy for the ladies as far as I'm concerned. (reinforces his fangirl proof glass)JediHealerCosmin wrote...

I swear that Aubrey Ashburn has the voice of an angel <3
Now that reminds me of something...
In DAO we had Leliana singing.
In ME2 we had Mordin singing.
Lord, I hope we get someone this time tooI would suggest Aveline, but let's keep the LI thing the only wish for now

I suggested on the live chat thread for either Merrill/Fenris/Anders/Aveline to be in the party (with Fem Hawke), since we've seen enough of Izzie and Varric...Hopefully Mike will understand our feelings and do so
I can't wait to hear Lady Hawke's voice! I mainly play as a fem in games (if given the chance) so this is important to me. when i play male characters i feel like i am watching someone else, when i play as a girl i feel like i am watching myself somehow.

Different strokes for different folks. ^.^ I never pretend the characters are me in any Bioware game. I think of myself as Obi-Wan helping Luke fulfill his destiny.ankuu wrote...

I don't see Mr. Laidlaw saying no to the fangirls. Mr. Gaider maybe, but not Mike![]()
Imagine what would happen if we hear Merrill: the whole BioWare community would go "awwwwwwwww" at the same time =))

Well...Leliana didn't ACTUALLY sing if you wana get technical...Aubry did...which always felt weird to me that her voice did like a total 180 in scene lol. I was like "wait a minute that don't sound like her at all! whats going on here!?"

Somehow, I can't really imagining Aveline having her spirits lift because of a dwarven song.
Maybe an epic face palm because of the lyrics but...
