I'm glad that we'll have such a great character as a companion and I'm looking forward to my Hawke's interactions with her. I'm not glad that she isn't a romance, but it'll likely make sense in the context of the game.

I don't know who that is...knowing this forum shes from the "almighty" Baulder's Gate. I never played it nor do I really care...Aveline was perfect for me!

"Obvious" how? How some people might prefer Aveline to Merill (we already knew about Isabela)? There was nothing suggesting Aveline wasn't a LI, "but what do I know".

Was that comment really necessary? It's one thing to not like a LI option (note the word option), it's another to ridicule those who supported the option. Merrill hasn't obviously been confirmed as a LI and technically-speaking, neither has Isabela (though I'll let that assumption slide). I am disgusted by people actually CELEBRATING that a character is not an LI when LIs have always been OPTIONAL in the game. Have some damn respect for people who have different preferences than you.
