I get a Bastila vibe from her. Not the nicest person in the world, but you can rely on her to be your moral compass and go all "What the hell, hero?" when you screw up.

I really can't seem to be able to like her as a permanent companion. Don't know much about her personality yet (aside from that vigorous protector theme she has), but I was rather more wishing for an actual chevalier to join the party than this... quasi-chevalier.

Though I guess this wouldn't make a real deal chevalier companion impossible, I do still think this makes it less likely. I also very much dislike her outfit, ridiculous especially for any sort of tank.

An infallible and always right star of the show, with other characters reduced to act either as goofy sidekicks or ideal love interest  doubling as damsel in distress?

I sounds to me like she cares a lot about protecting certain people, but doesn't care at all about anyone else. I'm not sure what previous character that's similar to, but it's interesting.
