I always thought of Mary more as one of those gelflings that lures people to their doom by feeding them enchanted cupcakes, so they can never leave and will eventually starve to death. She's nefarious that way.

No, I'm pretty sure those were called geldings. Which, coincidently, is also a term used to refer to a castrated horse (or other animal). Go figure.

Edit: It is gelfling. Which is equally reassuring and disappointing all at once.

I think I might prefer to remember it as "gelding" though. Bizarre misrememberings make the world a more colorful place.

I'm really surprised that it's not just common sense that Aveline eventually dons appropriate armor later on after the escape. Really? People actually believe/believed that she would wear some sort of commoner's outfit/leather apron/whatever for ALL ten years????

Will we change it? Probably not.  Will she change it? Yes.  Confirmation is a few pages back.

Good point, I wouldn't rule out our being able to switch outfits for those that have multiple seeing as they still have the 'outfit' slot on their inventory. However it does seem likely that, that could just be there for rune upgrades. I still say give everyone an alternate outfit ME2 style.

Well, thanks to a comment by Mike Laidlaw a lot of people have been presuming most companions don't switch outfits over the ten years. However he did say there were exceptions, it's just good to get confirmation that those set to play distinctive roles (such as a warrior tank) will get a suitable 'upgrade' when appropriate.

Thinking about the blurb a little more, I do like the sound of where Aveline's character arc takes her. She sounds like she'll become a hero of Kirkwall in her own right, regardless of Hawke's destiny.

It's a game where warriors don't know how to shoot a bow. Common sense is entirely optional.

uh,,,,,would you have Believed (before ME2 came out) that miranda would NOT wear a sealed hardsuit/light armor in vombat and in vacuum environments? possibly not and yet she does

they are being used to write DLC,  when manpower is rendered available by a shift in developement cycle it is immediately thrown at the next related project (if there is one)..in this case...DLC
