Now, now, my intent was not to say “ha, not yours!” My concern is that because of the label, players will not have the optimal experience. For characters and plots to have real impact they need honest emotional investment, and that’s a fragile thing easily spoiled by being aware of the existence or nonexistence of a mechanic/label. The curtain is there for a reason.

If I had my way, you wouldn’t know who is what. I don’t want you to play any character as a “romance” or “non-romance.” I want you to play and see what happens. Without honest emotional investment I can disappoint you, but I can’t hurt you.

Or bring you true joy, but I'm mostly about the hurting.

You can label me whatever you want and call me whatever name you wish...but am geuinely unhappy about this crap which is a first for me. If half those elf lovers felt as left out as I do with these romances they would be lighting torches and sharpening pitchworks and it would be worse then Bloody Tuesday around here. I think I'm rather calm about the situation considering...because I am in a group that is totaly and completely feeling left out of those subplots that I typicaly enjoy with great pleasure. Yea I could easily just "skip" them not hit on them but....nvm...theres absolutly no point to this...no ones gonna care about what I have to say...and those who respond will probably do so in a smart a** fashion like "well just just ignore them instead of hateing them" blah blah blah...sorry if I sound like a douche right now...but this is blood boiling issue for me.

You insult a whole lot of women on this forum. You should rethink that kind of attitude and higher than thou placement of yourself. If you don't like more experienced women because they make you feel less adequate or nervous or even because you are afraid their loyalties don't rest specifically to your sexual interests, fine. There are better ways of stating your opinion than being downright insulting.

All kidding aside, I feel for you kylecouch. I was in just a state a few days when the news was dropped. There might be hope for the future. Given the absolute vagueness of these developers, we might see something near the end that might mean more in DA3. Considering that no developer is going to come on here to defend their decisions; I feel it's my duty to talk you down a little bit.

Because I consider sex something sacred and special and not something to be used for recreational activietys maybe? And no I don't consider my character "special" in that light...I just hate people who defile sex and turn it into something thats done "just for fun" or whatever instead of the sacred expression of love thats it meant to be....if you still can't understand then I guess therres no explaining it to you.

I apologize if anyone is insulted...i just think of sex differently. it has nothing to do with ones nervousness or anything like that. I just disaprove of the idea of casual sex. I could have worded it better of course...so if you are offended I apologize.

When I say underneath I don't mean anything relateing to the body...I am talking about personality...I suppose "inside" would have been a better word choice...and no I don't think this simply applies to women...in fact I think this applies to men more so due to their vulgarity towards most women.

I love elves in general. I have no particular interest in ANY LI this time around, and that is fine by me, honestly.  I still love elves in general as I love their lore.  I also love Aveline and wish she could have been a LI but will enjoy her story nonetheless, she sounds like a wicked character.   It isn't one or the other, for me anyway....  

You are entitled to your own feelings, all feelings are legit, when they are kept to yourself, but when they are shared and given life outside yourself........they can hurt people.

Also, a large amount of hate could alienate you from enjoying the story.  No-one, surfacey or not, is perfect or a clean slate. Not even Aveline. She too comes with her own history, she has loved before (perhaps more than once!)  and has her own issues.  Calling someone a sl** or unclean, or talking about all elves like they are solely a cliche is making a "reality" out of mere "preference" and does a grave unjustice by generalizing.  You of course are entitled to your opinion, but we all have our issues.  Just because Isabella isn't for you doesn't make her a lesser human being.  

Now, I was not an Isabella fan before this at ALL, but without knowing her, really knowing what makes her tick - you can choose to not like her, but what makes you so perfect  that you are entitled to judge?    This thread makes me sad.

That's big of you to apologize. Many people wouldn't choose to do that and would prefer to get angrier or more defensive.

If you dislike the idea of Casual sex or are paranoid that someone might perceive a sexual encounter with you as casual (because they are known to partake in such), labeling them as filthy or crude or sl** or any sort of insult is simply wrong. Just keep that in mind in the future. I don't care if its a fictional character like Isabela. A lot of ladies on this forum and even NOT on this forum can relate to her in terms of relationships and sex, and its hurtful when people degrade our choices or our bodies.
