Yeah. Happens all the time that one. A friend of mine lost his father recently. Heart attack. He of course immediatly took his dads wallet, and his leather jacket. Shoes as well. Not.
There is a legal document called a "Will" in which one gives someone their worldly possessions on the event of their death

With Flemeth hanging around she had time to take to bury Wesley most likely. So the armor would be useful to her. Even if that was not the case, she could do it out of survival.
She wouldn't have buried him, they would have burned his body on a pyre. Fereldens don't bury people. Leaving his armor on him for that probably wouldn't have been a good thing for reasons that I don't even want to think about and wish I hadn't. Gah. Anyhoo, the armor would have been there. It depends on the type of person Aveline is as to whether wearing his armor would be a comfort or distressing. It could go either way.

You seem to have an indepth understanding of Aveline & the situation, & on the funerary rights of citizens of Ferelden.

You played the game, too, right? There was quite a bit of discussion of what was done with bodies according to Chantry tradition and how it differed from elven and dwarven rites. Also, he was tainted. If there was time to do anything, they would have burnt the body. And I said nothing about Aveline other than that she may or may not have found wearing her dead husband's armor acceptable. Tell me, exactly how is that a stretch?Aermas wrote...

Granted, in the comics we see people being buried but I think that is canon-mistake or possibly because the humans weren't necessarly Andrastian. Dalish bury their dead and plant a tree in their remains (except Velanna is too lazy to plant trees as we see in Awakening). Dwarves build tombs for their dead.

Pineapple perhaps?
Why pineapple? I see her as being something very hardy and down-to-earth.
Potatoes, root vegetables, beef. Stewed together for a long time.
She's a pot roast.
