I now understand Lukas's words...fortunatly I found this out before he could take pleasure in ripping my guts out...not this time Lukas...

Edit: Actually more like "never again". Because I will be unable to get so close to any other companion they make in any future game, because every single character I like ends up being the one that isn't the LI. So to avoid all heartbreak from this day forward I shall avoid becoming attached to them in the manner I did with Aveline. Shiro_the_Gambler...I take up the mantle of Mr Negativity beside you sir...togeather we shall brave this unholy s*** storm.

Me three.
I'll only man squee when I hear the game's gona gold (DAIII+) or there's a new DLC on the way.

Indeed...its a sad day when the only way to avoid disapointment is to become a pesuado-hater. Every game I've ever played I've always been in the minority 100% of the time...so needless to say things never personaly go my way when it comes to design descisions. However I figure the only way to stop being disapointed by my minority mind-set is to hate everything they do until proven wrong.

Ugh...just thinking about it gives me a sick feeling in my stomach. what the hell was I thinking? seriously? she was obviously far too perfect to be a LI for the player, I was only fooling myself to expect anything to come from this. As soon as I saw muscles on her arms I should have said "Well shes deff not a LI"...but no instead I fell for it. Now this new revelation is the final middle finger to us as far as I'm concerned...kinda like a "thanks for playing...but you lose" type of thing. This crusade was a lost cause from the beginning I can clearly see that now, much like any other crusade thats ever happend.

Needless to say I am both very depressed and bitter. Mr Gaider said fan fic is like watching someone do your wife...well this feels like watching someone ride off into the sunset with your wife, holding hands, knowing they gonna do it later. My feelings towards this are indeed abit excessive but it feels like I walked in to discover my wife was having an affair all along. I don't even know if I can hang around this thread much longer, just being here makes me sick remembering my foolish idealism regarding this situation. However I am at least grateful I found out now rather then later...that way I know not to waste my time now because it wont change a damn thing. At least this pain was self inflicted...I denied Bioware the satisfation,,,that will have to be enough.

Again let me point out that the person in question who discovered that made choices that are different from what we intend to do. DAO variated in a large number of ways depending on you decissions, so we'll see

This is a good point, actually. The Carver Appreciation Society was steadfast throughtout the period where everyone thought his death by ogre was unavoidable. But it turns out Bioware had alternative plans for him depending on how the player plays!

We must hold on to hope that DA2 is as responsive to our choices as Origins was, and that we can make our own story in our playthroughs!

While I am holding out for a complete romance with Aveline...I won't hold my breath.

But in the end, she seems to be awesome best friend material and if they go the Samara route with her character at least we will know she is interested...just...reluctant to overturn her crucial beliefs. I can respect that...my Hawke not so much.

On a whim I decided to dye my hair red today.  Not a shade remotely similar to Aveline, but I swear I just now thought of her and her red-gold hair.  Of course, this could probably be because I haven't not thought about DAII all weekend;)

Hehe, nice one   In my oppinion, red hair is much more beautiful than any other color (on women). But that's just me

I agree!  I have been a fan of redheads since I first discovered Tori Amos as an impressionable teen.  There is a certain freedom and feistiness to redheaded women which I think many ladies admire:)

Omg, seriously, Aveline rocks when punching the darkspawn and then slicing the head off...I have been blabbing about her for days, and I think my bf is just as eager for this game to come out as I am so I stop talking about how excited I am for the big unveil

Hehe, I've been talking to everyone I know about it. So far I've gotten different feedback: several "you're insane" acusations, a lot of questions about what makes the game something to be this excited about, and the one I'm most proud of... I got a friend to buy Origins
