In terms of DA2 companions, I'd say Aveline is the most feminine in terms of her motives, while Friendship Anders/Fenris/Rival Sebastian are the more masculine.

I know men are more masculine than women, you don’t need to point that out.  This is not unrelated to my point, though: on the surface she is the most butch, yet she’s the only woman that won’t go to bed with your lady Hawke. My whole post was about how Aveline challenges stereotypes.

Aveline is the best-written NPC in the game. She was like a sister to me and Merrill. Kudos yet again to Mr Kristjanson for a masterful job. "The Little One is down!!!!"

I disagree with you about Isabela. Isabela has loads of self-respect, probably more self-respect than any other NPC in the game. In fact, that's a major character trait of hers. "They don't know me, *I* know me." to quote her, speaking with Aveline at one point.

Isabela is a woman who knows who she is, and is very comfortable in her own skin.

Ohh... I know that Varric and Izzy has banter together with Aveline. The friend-fiction about her and Donnic that is best not read out loud. I think wild stallions corralled against their will was included somewhere in it. Does Aveline has that kind of banter it any other group of two people. She has banter with everyone but is there some other version of it being banter with Aveline and two others?

Damn it! Aveline was the only, the ONLY female I REALLY would have enjoyed a romance with. Nothing against Merril (too young) or Isabela (She does not like to stay in one location for long). Aveline just fit that niche that I love about women that I would love to have as a romantic interest....and she is un-romanceable...the pain Bioware...THE PAIN!

I think the Archdemon would just stop and cower as she approaches it to give the final blow. Aveline is EPIC.
