Well, the bad news is that its been confirmed that Aveline is NOT an LI.

And now that your heart is broken, here read this:

Anyway, we could argue back and forth all day about whether Aveline would want to romance Hawke, but I doubt it would make Bioware release a "romance Aveline" DLC. So for this thread the romance debate will be summarized thusly:

Turns out she is Aveline, named after the first female Knight of Orlais!

Later a distraught Aveline would kneel by the thugs side and study the huge bruises that marked his broken neck and the loaded crossbow that lay nearby her brow furrowed in irritation, had Hawke hired some thug to watch her back while on patrol or was this some vigilante stalking low town. By the Maker she would know the answer and punish the varlet whether he had saved her life or not, the law in the kirk was hers to uphold and no one else's.[/quote]

Is that a trick question? I guess the answer is "because I work here and I'm not an idiot", but I usually imagine that needn't actually be said.

Thats brilliant as I was hoping she was a Brienne-esque character except without all the 'unrequited love, lack of self-esteem' thing.

Oh, and who'd Luke write in Origins?

I wasn't the owner of any of the folowers in the main game, if that's what you're wondering. I joined DA:O relatively late as I was busy with ME1 and some background stuff. The big characters were well underway, so I wrote busloads of little people and polish throughout, as well as Leliana's Song after coming back from ME2. I get around.

He's Canadian, so more like the BioWare Hockey Puck. Gets passed around a lot and often comes flying in for the finishing goal.

But he's been on DA2 for the entire project, which is nice. And all the writers got to pick the followers they wanted to work on, which is a bonus (as that doesn't always happen).

I've always thought it looked a little Olivia Newton John-ish, but Aveline seems to like it.
