I like Aveline's look. I'm glad she's not wearing a bra made out of dental floss, or strips of leather, a la Jack or Morrigan.

Well, she could still be wearing a bra made out of dental floss under her shirt, you never know. :P

By the way, is this now the official "Aveline discussion" thread? Or does that still need to be created? Also, what ever happened to the Bethany support thread? It just vanished into obscurity one day, it seems.

No incest option means Bethany is no longer an interesting character;)

The BioWare Town bicycle?

He's Canadian, so more like the BioWare Hockey Puck. Gets passed around a lot and often comes flying in for the finishing goal.

But he's been on DA2 for the entire project, which is nice. And all the writers got to pick the followers they wanted to work on, which is a bonus (as that doesn't always happen).

Wow.
So, usually is like..."David, you'll write Zevran, Mary, you'll write Oghren"?
It's nice to see that everyone could pick the characters they wanted to work on.

/agree

I'm not big on headbands. Maybe because in the 80s my mom used to think I'd look cool in one. But I didn't.

When i hear things like that it makes me glad i wasn't born in the 80s, but then I remember I was born in the 90s and I get all depressed.

I've always thought it looked a little Olivia Newton John-ish, but Aveline seems to like it.

Varric: "That's quite the fetching headband you have there."
Aveline: "It keeps the sweat out of my eyes."
Varric: "Oh, that's interesting. I could have sworn girls didn't sweat."
Aveline: "They do. You're thinking of smart-mouthed dwarves that don't work for a living."

Ooh. I think I like her already. ^_^

Although, A Varric fan-girl would have responded with, "Is that confirmation that you're a virgin? Guys! We got confirmation, Varric is a virgin over here!" and then the girls would go, "Aww, we get to deflower the virgin! So cute, so Alistair."

(And you're wondering how I linked sweating with being a virgin. Because girls sweat during vigorous activities.) :o

Damn, ninja'd by Toolset confirmation. Hey guys, we got Toolset confirmation over here!

I totally read Aveline's lines in Jaheira's voice. She does sound pretty cool and we've all been asking for a female warrior (that doesn't suffer from Mhairi-syndrome) for awhile. Now if we can only cover that headband, it's all groovy.

BG2 didn't have a toolset. Still had mods. :)

And fanfiction.

 It had...

Hacks. That's what we'll call them.

Very different. Like a different genre, almost. On a seperate continent. You said "mods". Which is like...that's like the God's rainbow of promises. Ambiguous, but damn if we don't hold you to it four thousand years later.

I don't know how that worked, but I have discovered that very, very bad things can happen if you edit people in 3dsmax and then try and put them back in the game. Sometimes it's deeply disturbing.

Reading fanfiction about a character you created is like watching someone touch your wife, yes. And not in a fun Tickle-Me-Elmo kind of way. Not that I mind people touching her, really. We have an open marriage. I just don't want to watch it happening.

I hear ya. 'Tis why I don't read fanfiction. I only write some and keep it to myself. It scares me to see what some fans will do with certain characters.

Or watch a video where they decapitate her over.. and over... and over... and over... and over...

Anyway, is Avaline your wife or Luke's?
