So Alistair X Morrigan Fanfiction would be what to you then?David Gaider wrote...

Oh wait you were the writer who said:
"reading fanfiction is like watching someone screw your wife?"
Yes?
Reading fanfiction about a character you created is like watching someone touch your wife, yes. And not in a fun Tickle-Me-Elmo kind of way. Not that I mind people touching her, really. We have an open marriage. I just don't want to watch it happening.
Or do I not want to know?

Hmmmm. Now I feel kind of bad about the story I'm writing. Like I'm climbing out a bedroom window.David Gaider wrote...

What do you have against Spock on Batman lovemaking?leonia42 wrote...
I hear ya. 'Tis why I don't read fanfiction. I only write some and keep it to myself. It scares me to see what some fans will do with certain characters.

Yeah, that's not someone touching my wife. That's someone belching in her face like some drunken fratboy, who then runs down the street and tells everyone because they think it's awesome cool. That's just embarassing for everyone involved.

Actually that sounds kind of hot.. but not like Harry and Draco hot. *cough*
Also, I learned long, long ago not to follow any youtube links posted on these forums unless they are embedded and you know what you're being exposed to before hitting play.

Alistair and Morrigan are free to do whatever to whomever in whatever combination strikes someone's fancy.
Just not in front of me. I beg you.
...not Aveline, though. Fancfiction about Aveline will make her frown.

That Tickle-Me-Elmo comment almost cost me a new monitor, from me spitting wine all over it while I was laughing.

Oh! I assumed the "Characters" section was not limited to Companions. Plus, I thought we'd seen enough of them in screenshots and trailers to deduce that, while they might not be completely permenant, they're also a step above "temporary".

One would hope. It takes place over a period of time, so maybe later on, but you'd have to be playing Hawke as a particular kind of a-hole for him to be hitting on her any time near the beginning. On the other hand, some people wanted to be able to make their characters nastier, and that would be pretty nasty....leonia42 wrote...

Tall, muscular warrior who gets frowny at fanfic. ~sigh~ Yes, this is shaping up to be the only BioWare game where I play a spellcaster.

Seeing as you really know nothing personal about either of them, there must be a lot of supposition in that wondering.

Yes indeed. Will we find out? Or will it be left a mystery in the game?

I think Aveline's really pretty. Also, it's hard not to be impressed by a woman who can bench-press a cow.

A lack of credible information has never seemed to be a hinderance before on the Dragon Age boards.
