It's a trap!
It's starts simply enough. Maybe you're imagining her muscular rear or how safe and warm your PC would feel with those arms around her. The roads of hope are many but they all lead to despair and disappointment.
It's like button -> awesome, only it takes longer.
I suggest you refrain from any thoughts of her coming in sweaty from sword practice, pinning your rogue PC to the wall, stripping her down, and slipping those rough, blunt fingers deep into the folds of her pockets. In her pockets to pull out change so Aveline can buy candy.
And your warrior PC will *not* get to wrestle in her underwear with her. Don't even think about it.

Of course my warrior PC won't underwear-wrestle her. My rogue or mage will. The point is to lose.

After all I am assuming all characters start around level 1 so her going from blacksmith to warrior during that section sounds solid. Her blacksmith time and husband would have given her some basic warrior type training anyway enough to be level 1.
She was trained in chivalrous combat, likely by her father. Likely from childhood on as well. I mean come on, the dude even named her Aveline. I vote blacksmith day job, w/chevalier training.
ah yes, good point, I forgot about her father, that makes alot of sense

Do any of the other female NPC's look different? I'm failing to see the connection/difference.
similar pose for Aveline:
Other than skin tone I still fail to see the difference...................................
Like I said, it's an apparent mind affliction.
EDIT: Allison; I'm thinking Sten but with a feminine touch...................................no?
Aveline looks taller than Isabela. Her thighs look longer in comparison and her arms also look longer and look more muscular, In my opinion anyway.

ah ok, misunderstood. Well she looks more "normal" in proportion compared to Isabela in my opinion if you know what I mean and certainly less long limbed than Aveline. Ah, I can see now that is your opinion as well. Sorry

Yes. Everyone knows muscle tissue feeds on neurons. Sad, but it's the price you pay for being able to benchpress cows.
Aveline sounds awesome. I mean, not as awesome as Varric or anything, but I think I'm going to like her. Can't wait to see what her VA sounds like and her armor looks like (hopefully as awesome as Cassandra's).

I kinda wished I payed more attention to her and her VA when I played the demo now. For some reason I really didn't think she was going to be a full companion. *shrugs*
She was certainly handy against that Ogre though. In a sort of... Ogre's punching bag kinda way. Alas, the life of a tank.

I <3 Wil Wheaton. I met him at PAX, and acted like a swooning fangirl.
As for Ser Wesley Vallen, I don't remember who named him. Might have been me, but if he's named after Wesley Wyndham-Price there's no reason behind it other than me liking the name.
Stuffy prim Buffy Wesley Wyndham-Price or Baddas sword swinging Angel Wesley Wyndham-Price?

Uhh... Aveline looks pretty cool. I get the feeling she might be a little too stern and no-nonsense for me, but then again, I haven't even heard her say one word.

Back on topic, I like stern and no-nonsense. I hate companions that worship at the feet of the protagonist - okay, that's an overstatement. It's better to say that I like strong personalities who disagree with the protagonist, people I have to win over, or never win over - those are the interesting ones. It's why I prefer say, Sten to Tali.

How about earlier seasons of Angel Wesley where he's badass but less angst-ridden? I like that Wesley.

I kind of understand what you're getting at. I enjoyed my debates with Sten and found him to be a very interesting character, but I don't think Sten had any 'stronger' a personality than any of the other companions, just a radically different one to most. But I do think I understand what you mean.
In terms of Aveline, I think I'll like, respect and find her interesting enough; I'm just not sure I'll find her as entertaining enough to bring her adventuring with me primarily. I guess that's what I'm trying to say. I don't want a party full of jesters or anything though, I just tend to try and make a joke out of most situations and I don't think Aveline will appreciate that. Again though, I have to admit the fact I know next to nothing about her past her character blurb on the official site.
Gah, I hate trying to convey thoughts through typing. By now there's probably ten more pages and this isn't even relevant.
Side note: I didn't see the spam post, and read your "read" as present tense. Stupid internet.

And yet the stick never leaves.

Hmmm, not feeling it. Her body language is all "I am here to seduce you." She's highly ornamented. Her top is obviously designed to show off her breasts. 7
And her name is buttercup.
