[Edit] Okay, maybe I can understand why some fans may have a problem with her armor. Why would a tank warrior only wear leather armor?

It looks like Aveline is a permanent party member. I hope she's not the second female LI, 'cos I don't want a nympho and a widow who's husband I'll kill as my only two options. If she is a LI, I hope there's more than 2 female LIs like in ME2

I think her outfit looks snappy. I would have gone with a different color scheme for her trousers though. As I wrote in the announcement thread, I do not think sword & board tank necessarily translates into being armored like a, well, tank, but that is just me. It will be interesting to see how she turns out.

my guess is she'll play a mentor role like wynne (but more agressive and not as "nice" as wynne) than a LI.

Meh, I was wrong. Was certain she was going to be a temp companion! I'm sure she'll grow on me, but didn't blow me away when I played the demo to be honest. Maybe she will be DA2's 'Wynne' for me (aka the character I rarely use). While I mostly agree with the criticism that her outfit doesn't suit a sword and board tank it suits her well enough and seeing as one of my favourite fantasy characters is Link from the Zelda series I would feel a hypocrite to complain heh. I do hope she isn't automatically an LI now though.

Edit: Beaten by Luke! Thanks for clearing that up, makes a lot more sense for her.

maybe, and i'm just speculating here, could be that if she has another outfit it could be seen as spoilerish (maybe templar marks or something...).

Ahh that's good but I still like her outfit in the concept art and screenshots. Maybe it could be her house clothes?
