Also, for the record, I spent about three hours last night attempting to draw my Aveline fan art. It looks horrible but I'm going to try more tonight.
People who can draw are freaks of nature.
If people who can draw are freaks of nature, Aimo is the ultimate freak of naturey.......ness.
Indeed...the ultimate freak of nature
Notice the candle-light outline of her husand on the wall.
That is simply beautiful. Now do one where her and Hawke finally admit there love for one another

Regarding Wesley, I wonder what Aveline would feel better about later on: for her to do it herself, or for you to do it for her?
Thats... actually a really good question. I have no idea...
I guess it depends somewhat on Wesley's own wishes. Plus if Hawke is a mage, then having him euthanize templar Wesley would be a bit insulting to what he stood for?

Indeed I am curious about this as well...this has the potential to be hardest choice in the game!Ammonite wrote...

I plan on asking who they want to do it--because yes, it is a very good question.

My inner conflict is, if this personality assessment is even remotely accurate, it would be difficult to let her move beyond being a tormented character, probably leading to her emotional isolation from anyone from that point on, or her eventual demise. Which I hope *doesn't* happen, because I really like what little I know of her!!! I hope she sticks around a long while and moves beyond it, eventually, IF that is correct.

From my own ( probably flawed since it is based on so little actual knowledge lol) perception, I would say if she had to make the choice, she would do it herself. It is an act of love and mercy to not want a loved one to suffer. Plus, the difficulty of both the decision and her action would fuel her desire to eradicate the cause of having to *make* such a call in the first place.

This possibility is why I consider it a hard choice...can't possibly know what the conseqences are from this decision. For all we know it could lead to her hateing Hawke for the end of time...or having her very grateful...or as you said...totaly disconnected with everyone...

I would like to interject on the so called "Grey Warden Crest" theory. I seriously doubt it's a Grey Warden Crest...as evidenced by Hawke wearing the same crest in THIS picture.
Hey I've never seen this pic before. Where did you get it?

On one hand, she would apreciate the fact that you choose to do the deed and save her the misery. This, however, could lead to another interpretation of your actions in the years to come. If this occurs, I believe that the next set of choices should be approached with care as the situation would become very fragile.
Maybe she will think that Hawke believed her to be too weak, maybe she will always see him/her as the person who ended Wesley (like the situation between Anora and Alistair, mind you),or maybe she will be gratefull in the end... No ideea.
On the other hand, choosing the downward option where you encourage her to do it, could be an attack at her sense of honor and at what it means to be a true warrior. Again, this action is opened to a lot of interpretations, and seeing that there will be an entire decade before the end... she will have a lot of time to think about it.
One thing I'm not sure about is what the backwards option "It's up to you" actually is. Do you convince her to do the deed in a nicer tone? No ideea.
Considering all these aspects (and the fact that I will play a good guy - as always) I think I'm going to go with Hawke ending Wesley and see what happens later on. That's what I love about BioWare games, anything can happen

I'd say it means you let her -Aveline - decide wether she will do the mercy killing herself or have you do it. Instead of you -the player - deciding. It's her husband, after all, she should get to have an opinion.JediHealerCosmin wrote...

It's not so much a nicer way of telling her to do it, but to give her (at least an illusion of) a choice. For example, in ME1 you could tell someone to get themselves shot helping you or punch someone out. If you let them decide, they decide not to get shot.
Though something tells me that even letting Aveline choose could get messy over the years: "Why didn't you stop me? Why didn't you do it?"

Aye, I actually see that as a very strong possibility.

This is why Aveline is such a promiseing companion...she has a personality and situation that is rather unique for Bioware...she doesn't really fit into a steryotype and it's hard to predict her reactions. Which will lead to seriously contemplateing dialogue choices, for me at least.

Or could it be like the Blackstone father is DAO? If you sided with the father, he said he wouldn't see you again because even though you are helping him, you still killed his son. All he would see is the person who murdered his son, not the person who helped him.
Not that "not seeing Aveline again" is an option, because obviously you do. But if people are hypothesizing about how Wesley's death affects Aveline for years, then this might also be a possibility.
