That's one of the beautiful things about Bioware's writing. It's hard to choose which is the 'safest' choice.

Though I rarely play that kind of character (unless it's a 3rd replay or something), the "Put him out of his misery." dialogue choice intrigues me in terms of how Aveline would react to it.
I have the feeling that even a continuously argumentative relationship with Aveline would be awesomesauce and kinda hot.

I always have as many sword and shield people around as possible. I don't know why but I just shields. I'll probably still be a sword and shield warrior even though Aveline will be with me as often as possible. I just am not appealed by two handed warriors much. Or rogues or mages for that matter, i have to force myself to do anything other then sword and shield

Aren't they supposed to all be heads, considering it's a choice rather than a dialogue variant?

I would agree. On Nightmare I finished the Archdemon with my PC and Alistair (both tanks), Leliana (archer) and Morrigan (Healer ) . The concept of more shield people makes the resistence of your party more strong as long as you can heal them accordingly. And it's always useful when having adds runnig around.

Maybe the head icon means "investigate"?

That...and I just like having a Coat of Arms emblazened on my shields, it's so sexy. It's really the only way to represent. Appearence is the big factor for me, I typicaly wear what suits the mind set of my character rather then the stats since I'm a wuss and play on easy. Typically my party is Alistair Leliana myself and the fourth member changes lol.

Like my "I am a Grey Warden first and formost" HN character. I typically wear that Silverite Griffyon helmet from the warden stockpile, Juggernaught armor minus the helmet, Silverite version of Duncan's Sword and Duncan's Shield after I gift it to Alistair. Then I sit there and go "Yeeea boy....Grey Warden in DAT HOWUUUSSE!!!" lol

It might be safest, but I'd hardly call it best. She might decide that it's her duty or she couldn't ask a stranger to do it.
