I'm still interested on the other hand as to why she has the Warden Comander symbol on her armor... I can't really cope with the idea of her beeing a Grey Warden tbh. Considering that they die early from the taint and all.

- Your family's facial structure is based on the preset head you pick so that they look related, unless you wildly deviate from the basic structure of the preset's face, in which case, hey...go ahead! It's your game, after all.
- Your family's skin tone is then evaluated and changed to something close to the skin tone you pick as a second pass. This is evaluated seperately from the facial structure.
- Your family will always have black hair.

The back cover of the Collectors' edition of the Dragon Age: Origins official guide has that symbol on it, with the crown. I doubt it is tied to Kirkwall.

It would actually make sense for Aveline. Her husband dies of taint, and so she decides she will join the order that will give her the power to fight that which took Wesley from her. This will be so heart-wrenching if it's true.

For all we know it might simply be a random symbol or symbolize something else ofc. Though thus far I'd say it's been quite tied to Grey Wardens. There are however all kinds of possibilities for how Aveline gets her hands on that armor. Could even be a family heirloom from some Grey Warden ancestor that you help her retrieve.

Actually I *think* that *is* the warden commander emblem, except it has a crown above the griffon heads as an addition. No idea what, if anything, that means though. If it is the Warden Commander emblem. *ponders*
