guess would be that it may possibly be that tension before the coming
storm (qunari invasion) and they are discussing either the defense of
the city, to stay and fight or flee, etc.

But what's weird is that this scene is shown while Mr. Gaider is talking about romance. Maybe jealousy?

Well, what I was saying on the Fenris thread is that I think both Aveline and Fenris have similar feelings about falling for Hawke--she has her reasons to fear a connection like that (what happened in the beginning of the game--man, knowing about that throws her line "Protect what matters with everything you have. Or you’ll have nothing. And deserve it." into a tragic new light) and so does he. But they both seem sensible enough, so perhaps in that scene, Aveline is trying to convince Fenris to deal with what he feels. It looks to me like he's saying "It has to be" right after he slams the table if you see the animated gif or the video itself. I'm not sure what Aveline is saying. Perhaps her line previous to that was something like, "So it's over between you and Hawke?" Similarly, if you were romancing Aveline, maybe he nudges her a bit to give it a try. I would like that.

Alternately, if he is saying "It has to be", maybe she was telling him some bad news, either about his personal quest or about Hawke. Something like, "she/he/it wasn't there" when he asked her to have the guards look for a slave ship or some Tevinter mages. Probably I'm just out there, but it's interesting to speculate.

Indeed it is interesting. And I enjoyed your oppinion very much. Like I've mentioned before, competition over someone can be an interesting subplot, and if that notion would be applied to Hawke, it would be just awesome   

I'm sorry I don't have much time to read through all the other companion threads (I'm studying for the last exam and peeking at the forums from time to time ), but I'll try to keep up.
I could talk about any aspect of any BioWare game for hours

Speaking of voices, I was listening to the dev diary again and does anyone else perhaps hear Keeley Hawes voice?

She's also Lara Croft's newest voice actor so she has VA experience.

"You're a sick man Hawke," She muttered.
