She is named for the original Aveline in the tale. And it's very apropiate when you consider the story of the young female chevalier who became a great warrior

Was named after the Aveline Leliana spoke of.  The other Aveline is long dead afaik.  No pressure or anything there, hmm? lol Kind of like naming your son Chuck Norris...  Nothing like some excessive parental expectations to start your kids life off well!   lol   Poor Aveline.   (Probably part of the reason why she is so externally tough, probably to protect some pretty substantial emotional scars)

Thanks for the info folks. I am just getting up to speed on all the characters having broken my "Learn nothing before launch" vow.... again. Sigh.



Awesome fanart in the OP. She seems very cool and since my first run will likely not be a warrior she'll probably be a staple in my group.

yeah I made that promise myself.  "How's that working for ya?"     I won't get the game for at least a week to two weeks after it is out. (WHY did I choose budget shipping, why??!! )   I tell myself I will NOT come by here, because knowing too much too soon made some parts not as fun in the end for me last time.....  need to be strong....

Aveline is interesting. I don't have much expectations of the rest.

I don't even have the will to propose such a thing to myself   One thing I will do however, is stay away from the forums starting from the 1st of March. For any kind of official trailer or announcement from BioWare I'll stick to Facebook, but otherwise any kind of spoiler, lie or not, isn't necessary
