I've been playing ME2 also  And Rift, although I have been too sick this past beta to get in there very much.   I really *do* want to get a couple playthroughs of DA:O done before DA2 comes out though.  As my old canon was a human and my current playthrough is dalish elf though, it isn't looking good!  Only my first char was human, but I lost her in a computer meltdown so....   For some reason, I just can't restart her.  Probably because you just can't recreate that experience.   I will try though, I really wanted to import her story to DA2. lol 

I am really looking forward to TW2. Have an unhealthy obsession with Iorveth.  *shrugs*  Skyrim does look good though, it is far enough away though that I am not thinking of it terribly much.  

And to keep this on track and about DAII so we don't get in trooouuuble because this is one of the most civilized threads on the forum, frankly lol, it was really cool to hear that a lot of the devs seem to like Aveline's story.  My very fave part of the game is the story aspect of it anyway, and the characters - in a game like this, the gameplay just moves with the story, if that makes sense, even though I really enjoy it too.   Must keep busy until game comes out.  

I'm trying to get my canon warden through another playthrough as well. I had to restart it because I had so many mods active on the save that I didn't want to take any chances with the import to DA2. Just got to keep pushing myself to play it.

The developers are really giving me high hopes about her character. I already had the vibe that she was probably going to be one of my favorite characters to begin with and now the devs are saying her story is awesome has me all the more eager to play the game. I plan on having Aveline as my tank while I role my two-handed warrior to destroy all the darkspawn in my path.

Same here. I always played a tank in Origins but when I saw that the combat was faster I was getting interested in dps-ing with a 2h sword like Sten.

Then I saw Aveline with a shield and I said: "well, that's settled!" :innocent: 
We can't let the girl get blood stains all alone, now can we?

Lol what does that "LI" mean? I have tried to figure it out but of the examples I have seen it used I can't really say what it means.

Nah, not really.  But I feel your sentiment!!      I will def create a male Hawke to play a second time if that is the case.   I am tempted to create a mage to see how she treats me as female Hawke.  But I am always a female rogue... So predictable.   I can kind of see her being the stern big sister to my female Hawke.  Should make for some fun.    Actually the rivalry path being open now for companions will make multiple playthroughs more do-able now that I think about it. Will have to do it at least once to see what everyone's reactions are

To be honest, I have absolutely no idea as to what the rivalry path will make of Aveline. Maybe she will become hardened or jealous, or even she becomes to resent her realtionship with Wesley...  no idea whatsoever.

I think in Aveline's case "rivalry" will be trying to make her more empathetic an altruistic. Her description on the site makes her sound like she doesn't like taking risks for people who don't mean a lot to her, so I could see her building up a rivalry with a Hawke who spends all his time helping all the orphans in Kirkwall get their cats out of the trees.
