I am a female gamer, and I love the fact that I can play a female character in your games. I especially love Dragon Age and the Dragon Age franchise.
I know you already have a male Hawke set up for your Dragon Age 2 trailers, but in the future, would you please consider showcasing a female hero for future Dragon Age games? I would appreciate it so much, and I'm sure other female nerds such as myself who love your games would be just as thrilled and appreciative.
Thank you!

I was *just* thinking about this. How freakin amazing would it be to have female be canon? I understand that games are marketed to males because they're a larger part of the target market, but I think on novelty alone such a game would get tons of attention. It's probably too much to hope for, but good lord I would buy that game so fast. And I'm tired of being told it's not a big deal, that we should just be grateful there's an option at all. It's easy for you to say guys, you're the ones that are being catered to!

You know I kinda agree but at the same time.....Hawke was really hot
So really, it's forgivable. Plus I highly doubt my Hawke would look anything like the one they make. I would actually prefer the possible LI for females to be showcased instead.

Absolutely behind this. I do not have high hopes (maybe I have spent too much time around ME's marketing?), but it would be brilliant.namedforthemoon wrote...

Also, I don't find male Hawke sexy, so I don't mind shoving him out of the picture once or twice. .. Don't kill me Hawke fangirls!

I know a lot of threads have been made about this before, but since this one is nice hopefully it will stay open

While it's true that the majority of gamers seem to be men, how many men went out and bought Tomb Raider so they could be Lara Croft? ALOT!
A canon DA female main character would be just as awesome. <3

Fem Hawke was supposed to be in the trailer, she just didn't go because they wanted the Qunari fight to be an epic 1v1 instead of a 2v1.

Canonical female characters would be great. Even so, the Warden will always be female in my heart. As will Revan, damn LucasArts.

I love you for saying this.
Obsidian made the Exile canon Female, but for me, it'll always be Revan <3

So true. I lost count of how many times the new trailer said "men" or "man" in it. I get that they pick male concept art since they think more men than women play the games, but it just made me feel like anyone playing as a woman is the dirty little secret.
But "men" could also be referencing the "race of men", meaning humans in general instead of "guy".

it seemed to be a pretty specific use of the term, in reference to Hawke, and not mankind in general or anything like that.Dave of Canada wrote...

I'm just trying to defend the trailer.

Most people who play video games are male.
But then again most male players also play female chars.

Is this serious?
