The trailer and the music were ftw! I love how they blended rock and chorus, looking forwad to the mp3 version!

I'll throw in my two cents as well that the "Metal" Origins trailer seemed rather... silly.
THIS on the other hand works really well. I've probably only watched the trailer 3 or 4 times, but I've listened to it over a dozen times.

the most epic parts of the soundtrack are 0:39-0:44 and 1:45-1:51
gave me goosebumps.

MORE SOUNDTRACKS LIKE THIS PLEASE.

Well, the music this time was pretty good, it's kinda just a blend of some guitar riffs and all with some choruses and a bit of orchestra, it was really good especially when Hawke walks over the crown. I didn't mind Manson in the DA:O trailer but It was a bit out of place... Yeah...

Also to whomever said the guitar in the trailer sounds like farting hamsters, just lol at your foolishness.

What does a farting Hamster sound like anyway?

Soundtrack in the trailer was indeed good. I'd buy it for a reasonable price as a digital MP3 download.

Also, I think rock music is great for such games. Mind you GOOD rock music, and properly stylized to fit the setting. In other words, music created specifically for this game.

Very, VERY quietly.

The music in Destiny was a mixture of thematic elements from the DA2 score, reorchestrated and scored specifically for the trailer. It's not available as an MP3 at the moment, but I'll see if we can do something a bit later.

Hooray if the combat music score is like that - please never again such an orchestra backgrounded
whail of banshees like in the DA O Deeproads, lost thaigs and dead trenches for instance.

God no! If I may make one wish for Dragon Age 2, it is that Bioware stay the hell away from crappy modern rock music with guitars that sound like farting hamsters.

1. Rock guitars have no place in a medieval fantasy game unless it's a licensed adaptation of A Knight's Tale.

2. If you want your rock music to sound "hard", don't have guitars that sound like farting hamsters.

Seriously though. Am I the only one who thinks rock music is completely misplaced in a game like this?

I agree completely. I hated the rock music in DA:O: You've just completed the game. You (or me, atleast) get a great feeling of greatness. Then all of a sudden rock music starts playing. It kills the mood instantly.

Please Bioware, do what you did in ME2 and don't include any rock music, anywhere. If you do it like ME1 then it's fine, M4 Part II was pretty damn good. But I would still vastly prefer an orchestral soundtrack without any damn guitars...

I like guitar. I don't like hard rock guitar however. It does not fit into games like Dragon Age and Mass Effect.

I like it in Dragon Age. It's not like it's taking the lead in the music. The choir and other stuff still rules over the guitar.

I personally think it adds a nice raw touch to it. Epic AND raw.

How else are you going to make it sound darker without sounding generic?

So, I like it. I see it more like a finishing touch.

Blergh, I hope it doesn't turn out like the ME2 E3 trailer.

"The music was specially made for the trailer yaddy yadda" = no MP3 for you guys.

And people what the hell do you mean? I haven't heard crappy Mason in DA:O, not even once.

Are you fellas gonna complaing about a tiniest guitar riff or do you just want to jump into the "Manson and everything guitar" hate-bandwagon? Did the Destiny trailer had some Skwisgaar air guitar solo or what?

I am not sure if this is the same thread I replied the last time, but I say it agan: It's actually refreshing and kinda original having a well balanced mixture of these genres. You can't blame Bioware for wanting to have something different instead of the typical cliché Conan-epic-fantasy music. :?

I can only hope battle theme will be like that.
In DA:O they were very good, but my favorite was Lothering battle theme, and it sadly appears only a very few times...

Am I the only one who was reminded of cowboys when Hawke entered?

Still, I loved the trailer and was asking myself if it was from Two Steps from Hell was well.

Ohh God please , make that soundtrack available ^^ ,It's been wandering through my mind since the debut trailer was released . It screams of epicness . If only it we're extended with more chanting and awesome guitars. Bioware is predictably awesome as always! 10/10 for the song and I'll be lurking around :D.

I disliked this is War because it was a crap song, from a crap genre (Alternative Rock.... Blech). Not because it didn't fit.

Guitars can fit fantasy. Otherwise the music will just sound like some generic track off the LOTR soundtrack.

This is coming from someone who hates the following...

ALL PEGIONS EVERYWHERE!
And heavy rock metal.

But this was cool, a mixture of Modern art and a classic choir orchestra. They are trying to do something new to the fantasy genre and they are doing a hell of a job.
