Again, spot on. One of my favorite gaming experiences. The voice acting, the timing of the music, etc. Just awesome.

Paragon Ending

Renegade Ending

ugg I can't play overlord again. I wish bioware had warned me it was sooo freaking sad. I have to avoid the damn thing, I can't have my heart strings tugged by a game.

Yeah, it was pretty crazy, first time I HAD to choose Paragon, but second I couldn't help but to choose renegade thinking logically.

The music is was what really gave the scene the feel of just unbeleivable tragedy. Music is the driving force in drama

Ya, the music is probably 80% of the emotion for this.

Didn't you make this same topic about a week ago?

Edit: Yeah, you did.

I'm sorry, but it just didn't resonate that much with me. It was a good story but I thought that the mother crying over her daughter in the Morinth story was the most saddest part of the game.

I wish that there were both paragon and renegade options at the same moment, so you could blow Archer's head off. Maybe even mercy kill David

I was really, really surprised by Overlord. I honestly didn't expect it to be that powerful. The music in that scene really makes it.

Yeah I agree the music in that scene, coupled with the shock factor really made that DLC. I love both endings, although I go paragon nearly all the time, the renegade one is so badass.

Overlord:  Great story, effective ending, and a mission where you get a lot of mileage out of any combo of Tali, Garrus, and Miranda.

(spoiler) And the cutscene after the dish is blown in the first mission... "You have got to be kidding me..."

Overlord was an incredibly powerful story and the best DLC so far for either of the two Mass Effect games.  I've played through Overlord three times now with different Shepards and the story and the music is as powerful as ever.

the bit at the end of the paragon option where David says 'square root of 912.04 is 30.2... it all seemed harmless' over and over again as you fade out to return to the Normandy is perhaps the most powerful and sad bits of the whole game.

I do hope they don't forget about David in Mass Effect 3 - even if the only reference you get is a letter from Kahlee Sanders updating you on his recovery.

I think the ending of the main storyline was more epic.

i got a question: i know what happens when you choose paragon (you wave your gun threatheningly) and do the paragon trigger or when you do renegade (punch him). But what happens when you choose paragon and dont do the paragon trigger?

thx

"What I have done to David is unethical. If he dies, it's unforgivable." Great dialog, great theme and just the feeling that scene gives the player is just sooo well done.

Once again, it was an outrageous moral choice given to us by BW!!!! After playing their games, road rage seems just so......petty.....

A sad ending? yes.

A great ending? yes.

The best ending in gaming? no.

shepard says " if you go after him this bullet will be waiting for you, and then we'll see who's valuable"
I think he says that after you pistol whip him though

No, I missed that interrupt on my first playthrough. Shepard will say that everytime.
