SGU's ok. //snip
I don't say it isn't ok, what I say is that it misuses the name/franchise of Stargate, just as something with a very un-SW feel would misuse the name of Star Wars, but for that franchise it seems a lot less likely to happen (although some games were sub-quality already)
Yeah. If you visit Gateworld then you already know how some folks feel about SGU.

Heck, I wouldn't have watched SG-1 if it weren't for Farscape (CB & BB, basically)...I just got 'drawn in' to the rest of the franchise.
But hey, if it'll pave the way (i.e., help pay for) the SG-1/SGA movies, then I don't much care for the deviation (which is what, exactly? Not enough 'gate usage? The overall theme?).
I mean, SG-1/SGA may look 'brighter' or 'cheerier' at times, but they're also 'dark', SGU just kinda focused on that aspect (maybe taking cues from other 'popular' shows like, say, BSG ).
On topic: umm...don't say 'ugly'. That's bad.
See how subjective terms suck?

<---is of the mind that Morrigan would've been prettier if they had used her voice actress' likeness like they did w/ Miranda/Yvonne Strahovski

edit: on being 'exotic'
wouldn't that depend on WHERE you are?
I mean, I'm an asian...in Asia. 'White'/'European' and 'african' folk are kinda 'exotic'...
