@WalkingBartie - I believe it's in the DA2 trailer, as part of the 'flashback' Hawke experiences.

Or maybe it's a flashforward, since that never happens in the game. It didn't seem to serve any purpose except to cause 11 page long discussion posts.

Come to think of it, that epic fight with the qunari wasn't in DA2 either. ;)

Since it's obvious those weren't Flemeth's daughters who are they supposed to be? The Circle?

Dragon Cult? Like the one from Sacred Ashes quest. Even more so, if Flemeth is truly one of the old gods (Razakiel or that other one).

Or maybe they want to worship the god that is but to be born - the Morrigan's son, which she has no matter your choice at the end of Origins.

They're all pieces of Flemeth.

Hawke added a new one to the army. ;)

I agree that Flemeth is very likely an old God - probably not one of the remaining two, however.

See, there's a point I've been pondering of late - when you speak to Morrigan about the dark ritual, she states that the ritual WILL work without fail. Thing is, there's no real way she or Flemeth could have known this for sure this unless the ritual had been performed at least one time before.

While that is hardly proof, that deduction tells me that an Old God may have survived via the ritual in a previous Blight. Is Flemeth that Old God? Perhaps - we shall see soon enough, I suspect.

How is that obvious? Those witches in the trailer could very well be her daughters.

Morrigan doesn't know as much as she thinks she does. And she's not always right.

Just because Flemeth allegedly gave her the ritual doesn't mean that she knew it'd work either, but no skin off her nose if it didn't.

Interesting point, a symbolic representation of Flemeth.

Those witches in the trailer could very well be her daughters.

They could very well also be an army of fairies who lost their wings when they left Fairyland who are battling the forces of darkness with their fairy magic.

I think my idea is far more plausible, and way more fun.

Sorry, that might have come across as sarcastic. I am totally serious. Fairies are a must have.

How could she not have known? It would've been more than a little foolish to send your next host into such terrible danger for a chance to perform a ritual that might work - and Flemeth is no fool. She must've known that the ritual, should it be performed, would succeed - why risk sending Morrigan otherwise?

Somewhere down the line, the odds must've been stacked in her favor - there are already too many variables in the plan even with the guarantee that the ritual would work.

How is Morrigan the next host? Flemeth has hosts?

Did you play DA2?

*ahem* I haven't gotten to that part yet, apparently. I'm not all that far into the game. I'm going off of what was said in Origins.

Let me put it like this...

How do you know Morrigan is Flemeth's next host?

Because she tells you she reads it in a book that you, coincidentally enough, can't decypher?

Morrigan's no fool either. She knows how to pull some PC strings.

Long and the short, just because an NPC has told you something doesn't mean it's true. ;)

A pertinent point, indeed. I'd forgotten about the grimoires - and Morrigan is not exactly the most trustworthy person herself.
