Evil bump for those who may not have noticed...
Well, sadly for the Morrigan Clone Army, Gaider said there was no MorriClone Army in DA2 in one of the PAX chats- I think the very first one.
So its likely that army we see in the trailer is just some Flemeth led apostate/mage/Witch of the Wild army, but not an army of Morrigans.

To the people who said that the "clone army" are just re-used models, it's not true, a Dev already said that wasn't Blur who made the trailer for DA2 :>
That is a curious point- Digic Pictures did indeed do the DA2 trailer, not Blur. But you have the Deep Roads part in the DA2 trailer thats exactly the same as the locale presented in the Warden's Calling trailer for Origins, minus the darkspawn.
I guess BioWare may have had the ownership of the models or something and gave DIgic access to those resources?

Above is the link to the director's cut of Dragon Age Destiny trailer. Seems Flemeth's army of mages battle the Grey Wardens of the Free Marches. Interesting.
I know the video says grey wardens, but they are templars. Really. It would make no sense for Grey Wardens to be fighting a bunch of human mages, regardless of whether they are apostates or not.

All I can contribute to this thread is that I am pleased to see that Flemeth's looks now match the awesomeness of her voice and powers.
I agree, her appereance in DAO was kinda cheap for a supposedly important character.
And as awesome as a Morrigan army would be... they just took the Morrigan model and pasted it into the trailer. Same with the Malcom/Grey Warden model from the trailer which was used for templars.
They won't render a new character just for a tra

Not to sound mean, but if it says Director's Cut, I'd think what it says is pretty accurate.
I can already come up with a theory for why they look like templars. It's been established that Kirkwall's templars have quite a bit of power because of their fight ability. The Grey Wardens would no doubt look for recruits from amongst their ranks, and like with Alistair at Ostagar, the Revered Mother pressurises/guilts them into helping the templars against the apostates.
You know, just like in DAO we had to do EVERYTHING that well, Grey Wardens aren't required to do. Say what you like but the theoretical "whatever it takes" Grey Warden would just purge Redcliffe with fire, went to look for the other Dalish clans, killed one of the kings on the spot in order to get his army and end the blight in half the time we took. Of course, that wouldn't be interesting gameplay now would it?
Plus if the Staff of Parlathan does foreshadow the Circle of Magi breaking away from the Chantry, it could very well be why we see the army of mages against them.
I'm still skeptical about the whole "Flemeth is commanding them" thing though. It seems to me like the two flashes have nothing to do with each other. Flemeth wouldn't have needed all of them to kill the number of templars we saw. It makes little sense.

Yes, but we don't know who the director of this video is.

An apostate revolution, looks as though the Templars are going to have to put em' down! Exalted March anyone? That would be badass IMO, I've always liked the Templars, but I don't agree that simply because you're a mage you are branded evil and caged. As for malificarum, they deserve to be hunted down and exterminated. Which is why I want the Chantry to remain strong, so when those threats do arise, they can be stopped before any major harm is done. The threat of malificars has everyone paranoid, and then innocent mages are wrongly accused. It reminds me of the Salem Witch trials, you want somebody dead for personal gain? Accuse then of witchcraft, or in this case malificarum. It's really complicated and I'm still torn on this one. Which side to be on, mage or templar?
Heh...except that mages aren't branded as evil, they are branded as extreemly dangerous (which they are) and are kept separate of the rest of the population.
Also, magic talent is obvious and detectable. Accusing someone of being a witch will not get you far in DA:O.

I dont know where the thread went but when gametrailers first put up that video with the little snipets one of the devs confirmed that they gave them the information but not all that information was true or clear.
Sure a Grey Warden will do what it takes but they wont destroy their chances of winning by taking the easy route.
You purge Redcliff with fire? Why the town is not the problem and that town is where you going to be mustering your forces from and from the surronding country side. I doubt the ARl or if you refuse to save him since that would take time so his second would unlikely want nothing to do with you at that point.
Why would he help you? You have just murdered his town, most likely killed a child since again that would be the quick way, and refused to help them in any meaningfull way. Likely leading to more discourse and you gaining one more enemy instead of an ally.
Marching in and killing a Dwarf Noble just because you feel like it? Ya that wont end well. If your lucky enought to walk out of that city (Greywardens might be great and respected but they are not above the laws and politics of the land if those lands choose to enforce them. Remember Wardens Keep? An attempted coup that did not end well for those Wardens) and the dwarfs at that point would just shut their big stone doors and tell you to sod off because they fight a never ending blight and have little interest in the surface world.
The Dalish thing is up in the air. It could take just as long to find another tribe then it would to help them. Of course helping that clan right then and there would allow you to move on and those Dalish could spread the word faster to the other clans then you ever could hope to do.
Sure its about ending the blight at whatever the cost but it is about ending the blight not digging yourself a deeper hole to crawl out of.
Edit: Found it.

The upcoming war that Cassandra talks about could be the war we saw in the trailer against the Templars(or Grey Wardens?) and the group of female mages.
I would rather think that it was just a part of much bigger problem, but you may be right.
