So I have a meaningless question thats just more outta curiousity then anything else!

In the game you have drawns female breasts on a couple of demons. (about time IMO as they just look better then the PC neutered versions of the past)

Winterwolf (Forest Lady) appears with no nipples on her breasts but, well not much left to imagination otherwise. (again, she looked great.)

So my question is:

but you still handle love making as a female wearing a chest wrap and coverings on the females.

Now I fully understand why the downstairs parts of our avatars not showing (Forest Lady not withstanding) and to be honest I dont want to see some guys junk swinging around in game anyways.

But why the breast covering on the female party members when you already show that much on demons?

As I said, this just outta personal curiousity, not some cartoon nudity fetish. Im more then capable of seeing real nude women if I so wish. Im just curious in the reasoning for the double standard in art forms is all?

Or are you saying all women not really demons of a kind (IM JOKING JOKING, femenists calm down, harmless joke).

Anyways :) Looking forward to answer on this. Just one of those things that struck me as odd is all.

PS: Loved the game

It would be a little odd to 'cover it up' otherwise though. With the Lady of the Forest / Witherfang her hair 'covered it up', if I recall correctly. Whereas the Desire demons have... well some sort of clothing.

Besides that, it is most likely a marketing thing. Though it is already classified as 18+...

Well, both Leiliana and Morrigan have rather short hair-styles and thus the can't really do a cover up with their hair (like Lady of the Forrest), and the Desire Demon was just able to be designed like that. So the bra and panties are the best solution to the situation.

I think it would push the reating into AO from the ESRB. I think the hair and Desire Demon "coverings" are just enough to escape the Adults Only rating.

Whats wrong with being secure with your manhood and a little swaying junk?

God of War had full breast display and it was only rated mature.  As far as I remember, it also had much more brutal combat.

I just don't understand where Morrigan hides her bra under that robe she wears? She's more covered up without it on than she is with it on, at least her breasts are at any rate.

I’d hope that during a love making scene, it would be a bit to firm to really sway.

Though according to Oghran, Alistiar is a little pike twirler. That would be interesting.

I agree with HavardTheAegis - it's a ratings thing. I think there is a difference between nudity and a more graphic depiction of sex (the 'coverings' help to tone it down slightly).

I find it strange how Morrigan changes clothes before said romances.

How is that even a question? Nudity and sex are two different things.

Spirits and demons don't wear clothing, nor need it, they are spirits and demons.

The romance scenes leave more than plenty to let you imply they're sleeping with eachother.

Pretty sure it has to do with the Ratings Board and not an artistic license issue.

The female texture (according to the "how to get morrigan nakked" thread back in general discussion) seems to indicate originally they were meant to be naked.

honestly i find the clothing to be misfitting. same as the black screens during intercourse. Be a man and show nudity.

I want a mainstream company to keep pushing, these barriers should be torn down. Cutting peoples heads off is ok, but breasts and sex are not?

Truth right here, but the problem is the people in power find it an evil thing that must be hidden. Look at all the crazy laws around, such as in Michigan is illegal to have sex anywhere but in your bed.

I think it's ridiculous to cover the nipples. They show everything else, 15 year old boys can still ****** to it. As the original poster said, I too can understand why they do not show the "lower parts", but hiding females nipples is just retarded. It becomes less serious in a way.

lol, although they did show the broodmother's nipples. As long as it's not sexually attractive it's okay I suppose.

WOW, surprised at the level headed responces.

Honestly I was cringing at what I thought was coming back at me when I posted this but my curiosity won out in the end.

Probably is ratings, I just kinda hoping someone from Bioware would explain it.

Just strikes me as odd you go with nudity on one but back off on other.

And yes Jide, I do want a mainstream company pushing the Politically Correct standards, but with in reason (NO JUNK, hehe). Im glad they drew the demons the way they did, it added ALOT (IMO) to their overall appeal and I have always hated that cardboard cut out no real gender doll many use in games to be honest.

I just think they could have safetly gone a step farther while still being in "good taste".

Ahhh well, demons are a step in right direction.

And again, the artistic impressions in this game blew me away :) The dragons were breath taking, the Demons were forbidden and/or morbid like you imagine them to be, Just a really well done game artistically.

This right here is it actually, it's the Sex portion combined with nudity that kicks it, they covered up the nudity in Mass Effect and the Soccer Moms with too much time on their hands got rilled up over it.  That whole M for Mature thing people just seem to ignore it seems.

Also, don't forget the stupid brouhaha the Mass Effect "naked alien sex" scene caused among the "family values" set.

Bioware was probably a bit touchy from that, i'd think.

Yep, the state of the world as is means people can call something marketed for mature audiences corrupting because they are failing at their parenting and not paying attention to rating systems. Don't want you kid seeing graphic violence and sexual themes? Don't give them the game/tv show/movie that's clearly labeled to be improper for people below an age limit.

It really is atrocious how much people get away with blaming others for their own ignorance.

I would point out it is a rating thing. Getting your game seen will mean sales, and even "M' rated games get to advertise. Where as, if a game has the dreaded "AO" marking, it gets a black cover and you can't see the case unless you ask for it at the game counter.

it's yet another manifestation of the hypocrisy born of religious superstitions. somehow in their infantile minds showing 95% of a breast in a combat environment is fine, but that same breast must be 50% covered in a sexual situation.

the american theocracy has deemed sex too powerful for all children and most adults to cope with on their own without strict guidance. be thankful they enjoy making up your mind for you.
