I believe it might have something to do with what happened when they released Mass Effect...I recall there being something of a debacle after Fox news picked up the fact that you could "Have sex" in the game and thus blew up about how little kids were going to be able to play it...or some garbage like that...and IMO the scenes in Mass Effect were tastefully done for the most part. I think it was Bioware trying to avoid the crapstorm that might ensue.

I don´t get this either, i have the uncut collectors edition and i also can chop of heads and almost bath in my enemies blood, but covered up breasts during sex. Doesn´t make sense to me.

Someone said it looked like a last-minute deal. I tend to think they tried but, in the end, couldn't get it to look right. (Would you really like to see mesh, physics and clipping errors during the scenes instead? It would explain the bra as a fix to make their deadline since going back and resequencing the scenes would chew up more precious time.)
