Well it worked prior to 1.04 patch which makes it a game issue

is it just me or has bioware stopped responding to anything not DA 2 related ? is it safe to assume ya'll have stopped supporting this game?

They said right after the new DLC that more DLC will indeed come. Now, the patch support, the kind of support which is free, is another story unfortunately.

Whats so freaking sad is some of the bugs they cant/havent fixed moders have fixed and some are as simple as just making the script point correctly or moving some resource around. Like the Vigilence fix mode makes it share a differant resource instead of 8 which starfang uses it just changes it to 25.

Modders are not bound by the same constraints as Bioware.

To fix this bug properly, they'd have to modify the Warden's Keep DLC.  My opinion as to why they did not fix it is because they needed permission from the console manufacturer's (ie Micro$oft and $ony) to modify the code on the console versions of WK.  For patch 1.04, they only had permission to change code in Origins and Awakening, not the DLC's.

This is NOT a game-breaking bug and it would not be cost-effective to fix something that does not adversely affect the game itself.  Who cares what the blade looks like as long it still kills darkspawn?!?  It wouldn't matter to me if it looked like a tulip - I'll pollen you to death!Image IPB

Priestly confirmed more patches are on the way. Zy-El, I for one get pissed of looking at the Sentinel armor and the sword, the sword has quite a unique appearance.

Thanks for the link to confirm patch 1.05.  Be interesting to see what's in it.  Image IPB

Personally, I value game mechanics over cosmetic appearances getting fixed first.  Also, this appearance bug only manifests on consoles from what I've read (if I'm wrong on this, apology).

I highly doubt that 1.04a/1.05 will be a significant update, considering how much time and effort was put into the last update and yet there were still dozens of issues totally ignored... not to mention that as soon as it was released, BioWare stopped all contact with the community again surrounding issues with the game. There just isn't a good track record and I have trouble remaining optimistic.

Lol I know, you have a point, but they're eyesores. Also there is a glitch with fade spirits , beyond the veil and fade shroud, that makes eyeballs and jaw teeth visible.

Eyesores.

Where did you hear that?  I played Awakening on PC, and the item appearances were bugged.  That was at release though - I don't know if it has since changed.

Nope, though there are some mods available at Dragon Age Nexus which do fix some of the bugs with items not appearing or importing properly.

So, there were those great stickies regarding the progress of patch 1.04. Will there be one for 1.05?

Bumpidibump. Please inform us Bioware about the status of patch 1.05. Or do we have to wait weeks and months again for another info topic when the crowd's yelling?

There isn't an issue with Win 7 + ATI cards is there?

Im doing an upgrade and my first planned venture will be going back to DA:O with all the DLC and a few mods.

I've not had any problems with Win 7 and my ATI card while running this game.  I had one graphics related crash but I think that happened pretty much with all cards.  Scripted bugs on the other hand....  :D

What I would really like to see officially fixed in 1.04a ("1.04a" means it's a quick fix) are "+X% to healing effects" items. They stopped working since 1.03. :?
