First off I don't know if this is a bug or working as intended, but if you sell a lower item to a vendor, leave the area and come back and buy it again, it will be at an apropriate tier for your level. i did it with the warden armour...

i had acquired it about 8 levels ago and it was tier 4. i sold it and got it back at tier 7 with improved armour stats. now i can RP without fear of dying in it! HUZZAH!

it works with weapons too, i just don't know if its named items only.

hopefully this helps anyone who likes the look of good armour!

It could be, I haven't tried it myself. Perhaps it could be they improve it in order to sell it at a higher value?

This happens because shops refresh their value depending on where you are in the game. It's been like even with games like KOTOR and ME

i never noticed in both those games... strange...

When you go through a major event, most areas of the game adjust their loot and shops accordingly.



For instance, You can't buy a backpack from Gorim's shop early in the game because it isn't there. Later ( I'm not sure how much) when the gear is updated you'll find it available.



...You're telling me you didn't notice Drake/Dragon level gear in the same shops you revisited before that only has Steel and crap? lol.

Maybe you didn't notice what i put in my posts. The Knight Commander Armour was tier 4, i sold it to a vendor, went to the camp and went back to the vendor and it had been replaced by Tier 7 when i re-purchased it.

as for my post, i said i didnt notice it for games like KotOR and ME. I did notice it for DA:O however.
