The reaper's cudgel from the Amgarrak DLC is missing rune slots in Origins as well as Awakening. Should have 3, has 0. Also uses the wrong model in both games, looks completely different in the actual DLC.

I think you can fix the rune slot issue by selling to a vendor and buying back after a reload.

The graphic for the Origens version I belive is correct, but the one for Awakening should be the same as the DLC. The specific model/texture is Awakening specific.

I don't have any rune slots on the Reaper's Cudgel in Origins either. I've tried selling it to Bodhan, saving, reloading, and buying it back (I had to cheat in order to get the 2000 gold I needed to do so), but still no rune slots. I sold it to him, saved, quit the game, started up, loaded the save, and went to buy it back... still no rune slots.

Maybe I'll try it with the vendor at Warden's Keep when I go through that DLC, but I'd like to know if anyone has any fix for this. I don't really mind that it's the wrong model, but the missing rune slots will affect game play.

I read this thread and tried for myself, as the reapers cudgel did not have the rune slots when it was added to my existing savegame in Origins after getting the achievement. I sold the mace to Levi at Soldiers Peak, saved, quit the game, gave myself 2.000 gold using the toolset, loaded the edited savegame and was able to buy back the reapers cudgel with rune slots this time. Then I went to camp and succesfully added 3 grandmaster elemental runes to it. Great for Alistair to do some more damage while tanking, but it is a strange route one has to take to get the rune slots the weapon is clearly supposed to have. Also, the weapon only takes a little under 1.700 to buy back and you get over 300 for selling it, so now thanks to this bug I am sitting on a lot of gold.

To celebrate the new rune slots and my new riches I am giving away a free round of ale in Tapsters tavern for everyone reading this thread!

+beer for me, thanks @basdoom.

Any time BW makes an item that needs to go into the other games, the import process seems problematic. Not too surprising to me that the Origins version is better sold than used.

Don't know about that, since you don't need Awakening in order to play Amgarrak I expect the DLC comes with all the required data, including the model. So it should work outside of the DLC as well. The more important problem is the lack of runeslots though. There are a couple other weapons with this problem as well, but due to the extreme pricing of the cudgel one can't just buy it back without cheating, which I don't want to do. Come on BW I know you can fix this one, you had the time to nerf the blooddragon breastplate so this should be child's play!:o

@snow0815 I can see your take on the whole cheating idea and certainly agree with Bioware needing to fix the rune slot issue. However, if you write down your current amount of gold, sell the cudgel to levi at the keep and then calculate how much gold you need to buy it back from him, only giving yourself that exact amount, I do not think anyone would consider this cheating. That is, if one accepts that the cudgel should have the rune slots, while it does not. You might even consider the fact that a user fix could do exactly that in code: sell the cudgel, increase money by exactly the required amount, buy back the cudgel and be done with it. As long as you do not end up with piles of gold at the end of the process, it is hardly cheating, or is it? As for me, I can live with the responsibility of my new found riches, I only want to have some fun with the game anyway at this point and having lots of gold buys you shiny things no? :)
