They are using the same kind of "staffs", isn't it...

Nice catch!

It seems to me thats clearly Flemeth rallying the Morriclone Army or at least having her Saruman moment  reviewing her troops.

As far as the whole backwards thing- if you play it in slo-mo, you'll also notice that Flemeth when in dragon form flies backwards. Whatever that means

Huh.  So they are.  Which means...what?  That Flemeth is affiliated with this particular bunch of staff-wielders?  They ARE facing off against templars, after all, so that's fairly reasonable.  Though Flemeth has never before shown any desire to harm templars except when they come after her.  Her attitude toward them struck me more as one of a cat toying with its food than real fear or hate.

It can't be coincidence that they're all Morriclones.

I'm just thinking the stories of Flemeth raising an army of Witches against Cormac maybe weren't so far from the truth then maybe?

Of course not, an army of Flemeth's Daughters. Good think I'm shaving two months off with bootcamp, cause this game cannot come any sooner.

My thoughts exactly. DA2 could be a giant powerplay between two shadow figures.

Perhaps she is raising an army against the Chantry (which, IMO, makes a good amount of sense). Maybe these witches are a) Flemeth's Daughter's and/or B) a Dragon Cult?. Maybe their just apostates under Flemeth's wing.

What I don't get is what Morrigan's role in this will be. She figures out Flemeth's intention for her, and she seems to want to rebel against her, so why would she be apart of Flemeth's scheme? I invision Morrigan as a third party of sorts; a rebel with her own mission, and (if you did the dark ritual) the god-child may attribute to this...

Just throwing this out there, but maybe Flemeth is trying to lead some kind of Apostate/Chasind revolution agaianst the Chantry?

Wheres this idea come from about Hawke and one of Flemeth's daughters?

Speculation.  Honestly it does make a bit a sense for Flemeth to have contingencies in place in case one of Flemeth's daughters prove to be exceptionally cunning (ie Morrigan).

Here's my thought on a reasonable explaination:

What if not all of Flemeth's "daughters" work out as powerful or skilled as she'd like to be able to act as a host.  What then? Kill them?  Seems like a waste, but if she let them find their own lives somewhere relatively close where she can keep an eye on them (Lothering) there are a couple of advantages I could see Flemeth finding appealing.

1.  The daughter would be able to keep Flemeth up to date on current events in Ferelden and the rest of the world.

2.  Procreating which might lead to the failed daughter's children having the magic potential that Flemeth would look for.

3.  Having more apostate mages to tweak the Chantry's nose.

Flemeth: The stories of me raising an army weren't true.
Hawke: Really?
Flemeth: Yeah. Keyword: weren't.

With Hawke caught in between, siding with one or the other, dragging the whole thing kicking and screaming into the light of day, or any iteration thereof.  ZOMG.  DO. WANT. NAO.

Is it possible that Hawkes is romantically involved with one of these daughters? If indeed Flemmeths daughters had similar amulets.

This could also explain why Bethany (and presumably Hawke too if a mage) are apostates, and why their family hasn't given them up to the Chantry.  Their mother doesn't have to be a daughter of Flemeth herself; they could be a generation or two removed even, if Flemeth let some of her daughters go.  I approve of this theory, though it does smack a little of "your bloodline is super special" to me.

It seems to me at least that its Flemeth and her little Morriclone Army thats probably at least part of the reason that the Chantry is supposedly in ruins during the present time in the game.

But what is Morrigan's role in all of this, if any at all? How does the Old God Baby potentially fit in? Is Morrigan going to somehow oppose Flemeth?

Maybe Morrigan and/or the Old God Baby serves as a counterpoint for mages rebelling against the Chantry that don't want to side with Flemeth? Then again, Morrigan never seemed the sort to seek power to rule over others, but more for her own survival.

Or is Morrigan somehow siding with Flemeth in all of this? And when exactly does this Templar/Morriclone battle take place? Would Flemeth have already been potentially killed by the Warden at that point?

Questions, questions...

Maybe option a and b. there's a Dragon statue there.=]

They are circular and bangly, which girls are very fond of. I don't think it means anything.

I'm just throwing this out there!

The pirate girl may be Flemeth.

MAYBE. I am speculating, but if we could just get a face comparision or something (disregarding the age)...

Maybe Flemeth established herself as the center of worship amongst Apostastes; she can turn into a dragon, so she may have a cult following her as well.

The army of Morrigans looks like they have the same oufit from the Morrigan poster for sale on the Bioware store, minus the cloak

You're probably right Saibh, still I love making wild guesses. Speculating and jumping to conclusions are one of my favourite things to do before a games release.

Females like that sort of thing?....hmm, I thought I was doing well with just gifting them half eaten cakes and pantaloons:D.
